@TheXordinary That's because gingerbread OS doesn't fully utilise the 2 cores on the SGS2 unlike iOS5 which fully utilises the 2 cores on the iPhone 4S. Once ice cream sandwich OS is released for the SGS2 I'm pretty sure SGS2 will beat the 4S in benchmarks.

Samsung Galaxy S II is better in features , but i prefer iPhone , because of its software . I find the Android laggy and not as snappy , as iPhone is .

@Scissorify Just ditched iphone after 3 years. Was crushed when apple announced it would keep the same screen size after waiting so long for the "iphone 5". :( But now I'm so happy with the galaxy s2. It's blown my expectations and can't complain about the snappiness unless I have many programs open. The next version of android will be hardware accelerated, like the iOS, so lag will soon no longer be a problem! Just hope it doesn't take at&t and samsung too long to update the galaxy s2...

The iphone 5 will be an ipad 2 phone... The A5 dual core is far behind the exynos in every way.

By the way, my SGS GT I9000 Gingerbread 2.3.3 is much faster than an iphone 4.

So just take a look at the comparisons on youtube between the SGS 2 and the Iphone 4 and you will see why the SGS 2 is by far the best phone available. Oh, and tegra 2... lol The motorola Xoom scoring 1300 while the SGS 2 scores ~3500...

Well, its only your opinion, size matter is dependable upon person. You may like iphone size, some like it bigger or some like even smaller(Xperia mini).

Retina display doesnt beat any Android screen, why? it has better resolution, but Samoled has for example better blacks.

@McNettee i've used both galaxy s2 and iphone 4 (not 4s yet obviously) and i can tell you that s2 beats ip4 hands down, no-one beats super amoled plus. the ios is simple, yes but it's too simple you can't even customize it. it's not way better for smartphone fanatics like me. i tend to tune my phone into something else other than a phone... i.e. remote controller for pc/laptop and other electronic devices, handy for ppt presentations. more responsive than dual-core? no. s2 is also much thinner.
