Just curious, how widespread are raccoons in Germany? Have they "invaded" urban areas? I'm trying to convince a female (pregnant, probably) to NOT have her babies in my attic!

I'm gonna see if my boy Outlaw will eat a tangerine. Most raccoons eat just about anything, but not Outlaw, he's a picky eater! LOVES candy though, like Molly. :)

I didn't know they ate citrus either, maybe my friends out back can help clean my trees out. That was cool.

That was AWESOME! Thank you so much for the tribute!! I love watching raccoons work with their hands - especially when they do a little side-swipe while looking the other way. They still want whatever it is they have their paw *on*, but they don't want the other raccoons to know about it!
I've got to see if our raccoons like tangerines - I wouldn't have thought they'd like citrus-y things like that!

Tangerines has a milder taste than other citrus, they are very sweet and juicy. He never touched a lemon with one of his fingers.
He's not able to resist stealing food with a sweet taste. I have to conceal all my candy from Molly.
I'm curious to see if your raccoons like tangerines!!!

Well, I tried clementines and none of the local raccoons even consider trying that! :) It's been out there for about a week, and it's still there now... but that doesn't really surprise me either! Hehe... I've heard many stories of pet raccoons getting into pretty much anything, including things that are very high up, so you probably have your candy locked away like Fort Knox! :)
