  • my memory, so sweet, i love it, i love them...

  • i saw this family guy ending and i was like, wtf this sounds familiar, then i remembered this show i used to watch when i was a child :D good days :)

  • I was born in '92 so I wasn't around in the 70s when this show was actually originally airing. But I've always loved it! I watched it all the time back when I was in late elementary school and the time that I started middle school. So this brings back memories of those days. Also, Charles played this song on his fiddle once. Look up the episode "The Love of Johnny Johnson", I believe it's either part 1 or 2 where he's playing his fiddle to put Carrie to sleep and this is the song he plays.

  • this is actually a nice song. the flutes add alot to the song.

  • OH Yeah! gigidy gigidy!!

  • Hell yeah - memories....

  • Family Guy did it

  • I posted a message on this video some months ago and tonight I find myself, again, writing about this sweet melody. Few sounds make me feel so relaxed and free like this one. It brings back to childhood, to another life, to another me. Life is so messy, full of annoying things sometimes.... but you just turn on this brief song and your heart starts opening and smiling... thank you again for posting it.

  • Anyone that was young in the 70's remembers this song fondly. Brings that wierd feeling in your stomach now when you hear it.

  • Sunny, breezy afterschool afternoons.

  • anyone knows where to get this song??

  • Qué nostalgia!

  • I even watch it.

  • Excelente programa el cual resaltaba los valores de el ser humano, ojala hicieran un remix o una pelicula de ésta hermosa serie

  • Nigga thats my shit

  • So nice! it reminds me so many happy moments!

  • I do like this lovely ending.

    Thank you!

  • what song is this called????? please

  • SOOOOO PRETTY!

  • kelvin loves it....

  • Quagmire:) so innocent

  • *gasp* So THAT'S where Family Guy got it from!

  • I never understood why they didn't use a closing theme resembling the opening theme. I don't know where this came from.

  • it's the music for the chilhood's summers..

  • @emayl

Right on every time i hear this theme it brings back so many beautiful chilhood memories and nostalgia

  • ;-) .... good times.

  • Simon Bates used this theme, at the end of his radio show on radio 2 in the 70`s

  • family guy

  • good stuff

  • Reminds me of being a kid...funny, I just watched family guy and i knew that I had heard that music from somewhere... times seemed so much simpler then... :(

  • I love this song. >:D

  • Love this ending music, pity its so short

  • Did you see the Family Guy parody (with Quagmire)? It's so funny!

  • Joe Osborn on bass?

  • I LOVE the end music!! It is so catchy and waaaay better than the opening credits

  • lol love the chune wanna no how because on family guy quagmire done this i love familyguy

  • this reminds me of family guy :] lol

  • Oh, sweet Lords...

May there always be summer country hills for little girls to wander, as Laura and I did.

  • Quagmire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • do do do do....do do do.

  • LOL!

  • This was edited together, right? Because it's the season 1 music, but with Andy and Alice Garvey in the list of guest stars. Still, good job and thanks for posting!

  • in the Uk this was on sunday mornings.

  • This is the ending credits for Season 1. The rest of the seasons was a little different. I still like this ending music the best.

  • I like ending music better, than intro... :)

  • Aaah!! The nostalgia of our youths!!

I do feel really oold nowadays!!!!! YouTube has that effect on me.

But then again, seeing these old shows, really revitalise our memories of how good we had it back in the 'old days' : )

  • Hi Travis.

  • Classic.

  • awesome

  • I remember that still of the little girl right before she'd jump used to scare the crap out of me when I was a kid

  • lol

  • Are you talking about the shot on 0:28? If so, then me too. In fact, still. I referenced about that shot on the openig credits video before this one was posted and even someone agreed with me about it too. Geez, it's ironic on how things can be scary when it's unintentional. The 0:28 shot reminds me of that Twilight Zone episode with the robotic woman sent to keep that prisoner company and you just see her face with a big hole in the middle.

  • Why did it scare you? I viewed the shot but, I don't recall anything scary? Care to elaborate on what you saw?

    Mezza

  • Is it just me or did it seem like Laura was always dumping on poor ole Jack; I mean look at him...if you'd had a big fluffy dog like that would you have always been scolding him...it just irritates me.

  • wow - this really takes me back to my childhood.

    thanks for the upload!

  • Yah, I had to come and watch this after catching the Family Guy parody... :-)

  • me too :)

  • I loved this song!

  • THE DOG IS DEAD!

  • My mum used to watch this about a million years ago. Weird that I remember the closing theme better than the opening.

  • boy that tune is catchy

  • That was from season 1

  • who cares, its all the same

  • Wha, it's the same for all seasons.

  • ya. it was the same. Just the music was diffrent

  • The simplest things are often the best. This would have to be one of the most iconic and excellent ending sequences and songs of all time. love that simple worldvision logo and tune too. perfect.

  • LOL My brother used to say that was his favorite song because "Little House" was going off.

  • greatest song ever
