@nikolausnaser Yeah, I'm going RUDE because 1, I play metal :D. 2, It is slightly cheaper than the twenty series and also it sorta matches my z customs :P
@shumped They buy the Crash/Rides because they are heavier and give a stronger attack. But I do agree that Paiste has a collection of more musical sounding crashes. I would rather go for a Signature Reflector Heavy Full Crash.
I just ordered mine, can't wait to get it! Played one in a music store and they are so incredibly loud, believe me... no need to mic them at a concert ;-) So I'll have to get used to play with earplugs :-D
I guess I'm going with an additional 16" Rude later, according to the Paiste sound room it fits best to the 18". Not exactly a fan of 16"-crashes, but the Rude has BALLS. :-D
Alright, when you said your gonna need to start wearing ear plugs when you get this, i dont know if you were insinuating that you dont now or just making a point about how loud this thing is, but if your a drummer and you dont wear isolation headphones, earplugs, etc, YOULL GO DEAF OR SUFFER PERMANENT HEARING LOSS. Just thought id let you know.
RUDES are great; i own the 18" China, the 10" Splash, the 20" Power Ride and the 20" Thin Crash. The 20" Thin Crash is very easy to open up. Its not nearly as bright and gongy as its other subordinates and actually really full, boomy, and relatively dark sounding. The Power Ride is a Gem, the Splash is a neat little cymbal, and Im very pleased with the 18" China. Def. try ANY of the RUDES first in person or on the Paiste Website before going out and buying or ordering them.
No, that's wrong. Dimensions were all made from CuSN8 alloy, and Signature uses PSA alloy. Some Dimensions has been integrated in the 2oo2 series as you've said, but many others dissapeared.
ive got a question: how long do the rudes especially the crashes last until they are cracked. now ive got the anatolian ultimate series and they do not live long ;) .. i think its destroyed every half year. (i play in a thrash metal band and so i hit em very hard)
it would be nice if someone could give me an answer thanks
paiste are THE best for endurance. if you want long lasting cymbals paiste are the way to go. a tightly screwed rude china lasted me 2 years before it started to crack up. i may have just bee really lucky like but yeah it lasted me ages
yeah i have been using the same paiste alphas and 2002s for 15 plus years now and they are only just starting to crack. they last a damn long time and im sure its the same with the rudes
how long do these usually last for hard hitters?????????!please respond somone!?

@Nightmare3x3 RUDE bears more. it depends on which direction you play with it. RUDE was developed for metal. so... :-$

Paiste Dimensions is NOT Paiste Signature.
prowlerzinho 2 years ago
Hum, some models have been integrated to Signature but the most of them has been integrated the 2002 series.
I personally think that Medium-Heavy Reflector = Heavy Full Reflector , the mediums are perhaps a bit thinner

hey im thinking about getting the 18 inch and 17 inch crashes. i have cracked the zildjian z custom 18 and 16 inch will this one be more strong?
thompson515 3 years ago 2
Well the Rude crash/ride cymbals are extra heavy so they should be more durable.
outlaw6066 2 years ago
oh my god... how did you crack a zildjan custom?
i think they´re too heavy to crack them with sticks at playing...
i think they´re heavier then paist crashs
SlaPp3r93 2 years ago
idk i just kinda got angry they were the rock crashes lol over $400 down the drain. im going to start to play lighter
thompson515 2 years ago
thicker crashes actually break easier than thin ones b/c they're less flexible

I have tried the Paiste RUDE 20 Crash/ride..
OMG it has asweet sound! And it kinda keeps the same volume if you hit it hard or soft (like useing it like a ride).. Which I like alot..

paisteuser06 3 years ago 2
is the thin crash bright sounding for you?
decentdrummer911 3 years ago
not one bit; it is dark and very full. One of the best crash/rides you can get if you like that "wall of sound" crash cymbal.
