i know that last days ministries saved my life along time ago when i heard Keith Greens first album and i gave my heart to the lord melody has come a long way since the loss of a legend may u be happy and live what keith started in the beginning i love your music keith and god lives in my heart and your music lives forever in my heart
Fantastic Documentary. Keith was a huge part of my life when I was very young. He was amazing. And today, I'm a film maker, wondering what to do with my craft when I graduate college.
Back in the 80's, my parents (both STAUNCH Independent Baptists) were so against Keith's music. They considered him to be an anomaly among "Christian" music of the day. One Christmas, they asked me what I wanted. I replied "Nothing but all of Keith's music. If you can't get me that, then get me nothing." I got them. My folks listened, and BOTH were GLORIOUSLY TRANSFORMED - shed their legalism and became what God had wanted all along. God, I miss Keith Green.
An amazing man who served our Amazing God! I've always loved his music. watching the 7 videos about his life makes me realize how close he was to God and how much God, family and serving others meant to Keith.
I went through my Pentacostal phase in the late '80s. I never heard of Keith Green then. I don't want to diminish this beautiful tribute, & this man's love of Jesus is all too obvious. I understand that he said some anti-catholic things in the course of ministry. I was wondering what that was & in what time & place it might have happened?
I am sure that what I am about to share has been shared countless times by others, but, I am a minister of the Gospel today due partially to the challenge presented by Keith. Praise God for his example of obedience and his willingness to press the issue of evangelism and missions. Thank you for putting this story together.
I listened to Keith Green as a kid, and i remember the first time i read about his death in 88'. It was about 6 years late in a Full Gospel newsletter ,but i broke down . His music still has the most impact on me, and watching this documentary again has challenged me to live with no compromise. I pray the Lord can make me LIVE with much more of a passion and commitment to him like Keith did.
Thank God for Keith, truly the Psalmist of his generation, there has been none like him since.
I had to laugh as I was watching where kieth wouldn't take moeny for his albums and said no ,no ,no I'm gonna give away this gospel and I look over to the right and see this .... If you want to buy this DVD go to the online shop and click the button DVD's & Teaching CD's.
hehe, i know ;) But i posted it on youtube without hinderance from Last Days Ministry and wanted to give the option if people still wanted it after they saw it (for free). I am sure LDM is doing good things with the money. :)
@monum -- Is this "buying" from LDM? I know they used to (hope still are) say "buy" and mean "donate" if you can/want but can still take it for free if need be. ??
@monum -- Oh I'm sorry. This was in reply to YOU replying to zwreckless1 about how they wouldn't take money for the CDs etc. but then you see "by the dvd" at the online shop. :) Just trying to clarify that they probably still give it away for free if needed but that if you want to buy to "donate" you can??? No biggie.
@monum The person wants to know if LDM still accepts $1 checks (or no payment at all) and "I'm sorry but that's all I can afford" and will still send the requested materials back.
@zwreckless1 Maybe their shoving the money into their pockets today...I email tham and ask them to pray for me, and they say there is noone there to pray for me, and then I get emails of stuff I can buy from them....Man, what happened. I wish I had a 160 acre ranch and an airplane, while I gave away my albums...He was getting money from somewhere....I don't think Jesus returned and provided this stuff for him and went back to heaven...pray for me--good greif
wow, i never heard about Keith before...i wonder why .... but it is somehow understandable, this a man who truly lived the way Jesus want us to live... once again, no profit involved in his ministry ....how many churches are willing to follow Jesus just like Keith did? I still ask myself ...why he had to leave so soon ?
You know, I'm 25 years old and wasn't even born yet when he was making music and when he died but when I stray...when I fall so short what I know I should be because of my own foolish pride...its Jesus who brings me back and Keith's music and message that inspires me to stay on the straight and narrow. Keith was human, he showed his flaws, made mistakes, but never gave up. He is one of my heroes and I am proud to say that.
I know the feeling of what you said about Keith Green. I was just a little kid when he came on the scene, and I grew up listening to all kinds of gospel and contemporary Christian music. But no other artist can really touch the hearts of people like Keith Green .. and he still does years later. Thank you for sharing your short testimony! God bless you! :)
Update: I had posted a comment several mos. ago, since then I've totally given everything to God 100%! It's great to be a Christian instead of just a believer! When I started reaching out to others, helping wherever I could, I started to see my healing, may God richly bless everyone who reads this, & remember, what others do, doesn't mean it has to be you! We're all individuals in Gods' sight! AMEN!
I have relied on Keith's music at many times in my life, and I actually didn't know about him until the Sunday after he died in 1982. Thank you for sharing this video. I hope that before I die, I can find the courage to live my life in as forthright and honest a manner for Christ as Keith exemplified.
Having arrived on the battlefield, seeing my buddies die, taught me to see, what life is, both life and death.
We stormed the streets of Iraq, looking for terrorists, only for me to see the terror of little faces of iraqi children, as we waived our weapons in their face, so to speak...
The Man Christ, said, to love your enemy, do good to them which hate you, etc...
That's a legitimate question so I'm not sure why 2 people gave you a thumbs down. My answer would be I don't know. I won't lie and say I think there *aren't* any that do, but I would say there's less than you would think. Hope that's not too vague an answer!
Keith Greens life ended with death, and this ought to make everyone think why, his were cut so short, so quickly, and why??
If Green brought the REAL Heavenly Father, to america, then why is he not still alive, to continue this???
America is a fraud, form it's very inception, and I am born and raised american, an iraqi wounded disabled veteran, and a believer, of The Creator, who Created all things..
america has created a way which seems right in religion, but is actually death..
Just because someone is a Christian doesn't mean their lives won't be cut short. You hear of it happening all the time. Even JESUS'S life was cut short-at 33! He wasn't much older than Keith! It's simply God's sovereignty. We don't know why God allows seemingly unfair things like that to happen to Christians but I believe we'll find out when we get to heaven.
I just watched all 7 parts of this video and just wanted to thank you so much for posting this. In the early 70's we had not found any "cool" christian music--we just had the old hymns. Then we started hearing groups like Larry Norman, Love Song and Keith Green and were just in heaven! Keith was like a bomb blast with that amazing voice and piano. The day he died I was in total shock and denial. He truly was my hero and an inspiration to be all God wants me to be.
I first heard of Keith's song from my dad way back in the 90's. I love em. my dad sings Keith's songs with his guitar... I haven't heard of these songs for a decade. Its so refreshing for me to hear them again plus I got to see the man behind the songs. It inspire me to pray for my lilttle boys... may they be like Keith... being passionate for God's glory.
I was watching The Last Unicorn video, then after hearing its theme music i suddenly remember Keith Green since their music was a bit similar in sound.
Thanks for this video. God bless Keith Green's family.
His music is very inspiring. Was wondering about the crash. Do you think its plausible that, Keith believed that the only direction left to him to reach people all over, was to allow for the plane to take his life? He was just getting out of the secular period and asking got for greater wisdom than he was capable of and it seems that its not a big stretch to put 2 and 2 together. I wonder how stable ones mind is, at moments of profound doubts.........
What you're saying doesn't make any sense, his ministry was in full stride w/Last Days Ministries & a strong vision for believers to enter the mission field, it was an accident, pure & simple.
I was not intending for my comments to insinuate anything different than what you are saying or even the reality of the intensity by which he conducted himself and his campagne for Gods will. I was questioning the man's rationale, in possibly believeing that taking an option to distroy himself, would do more for the message and finally absolve himself from what he was starting to believe, that people were more involved with him than with jesus.
Still doesn't make any sense, & why would he take all those other innocent people, including his own 2 children with him? Oh well, your screen name says it all, don't bother to reply!

This is a forum to discuss topics and such, and by discrediting me because of a name is imature also being as such that this is a shared pc. Now as you may already know, for a strong and devote believer, his actions would allow for all those he may have "killed" to easily be saved, I mean isnt that what the point is. Comments about the future raising of his children before his flight, should not be taken lightly. This is a man who dispised the very idea of being the focus of the movement.

A man who felt a strong compulsion to eke out of a contract with the record producer because the very thought of making any money out of what he believed to be sacred, was violently abhorent. Keiths drive, was very zealous and that zeal others wanted. Ultimately, I believe, he felt unworthy of accolade and in the most extreme action in his life, he made a choice. In one fell swoop he saved all those people on the plane and took focus away from himself and back on God.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I also believe that he may not have known that suicide ultimately deems one to accomplishing anything but acceptance into heaven. And God would hold noone accountable for that lack of knowledge. In the end, keith accoplished what he set out to do, spread the word, devotion to God's purpose and for those of us whom have backslided, help rekindle a spark through his remarkable music and inspirational zeal to live for Christ in every moment of ones life.
As I said in another comment just now, it's God's sovereignty. He chooses to do what He wants to to fulfill his plans and purposes. We often don't understand it; only He knows. Sometimes he gives us glimpses of it but that's the exception to the rule.
That's ridiculous and doesn't make any sense. Keith wouldn't commit suicide. He wasn't even the pilot. His 3yr old son and 2yr old daughter and family were with him on the plane. Keith was never a violent person at all! He was a peace loving, loving husband, sincere Christian.
My heart is heavy and words are hard to express. Seeing how great of a man that Keith Green was, his songs and ministry have shown me that he truely, was only a man. A man that simply loved God. After giving my life to Jesus in 1996 a dear brother of mine gave me one of Keith Green's tapes.......................... To Keith's family, God bless you. And know that even though he has been gone from this Earth for many years that Jesus is still using his music to minister to others. God bless
I saw Keith Green when I was in jr high. It was incredibly moving and no music has ever touched me the way his did/does. I still can't sing "Asleep in the Light" without crying. Thanks to whoever created this documentary.
I never met Keith but his songs and words expalin his life to me: a person passionate about his faith in Christ and honest in the desire to walk like Jesus Christ. And that is what I pray to God for. Amen
Keith would give his music away for what ever you could afford. As a young Christian I was exposed to Lenard Ravenhill, Charles Finney, and other great preachers because of keith's ministry. I am greatful for all that God has done and continues to do through this man of God.
I read how Keith changes and changed so many of your lives and such is true in my own as well. More importantly is how Keith continues to minister to this dark world in such a powerful way! Thank you Lord for this servant and his work for Your Kingdom!
Wow, I loved this so much, thank-you!I first saw Keith at Jesus NW in 78 and was instantly captured by his heart and passion for Christ. His music and newsletters carried me through college and I never tire of his music. I was the coordinator for a concert that Keith was to do a week before his sudden death, an amazing experience. I recently used When There's Love as backdrop music for our recent trip to Romania to play with orphans. He is a saint who lives on. Thanks for sharing this!
I'll never forget the first time I heard Keith, in 1991, I was driving down the road and Make My Life A Prayer To You was played on the radio. I just burst into tears... and I pulled over and prayed that those words would be true in my life. I knew nothing about Keith at that time. But I knew God when I heard Him.
Something really special comes through in his music, the Holy Spirit.
I remember when Keith BURST onto the christian music scene. Young people came back from an outdoor chrisitan music festival just awe inspired by his radical committment to Jesus. One girl said,"He wasn't there to make us feel good but to point us to God. I have never heard anyone like that before." I truly loved his music it had so much passion and filled my life with hope and joy. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
To Melody and the girls. In case you read this, my wife and I and the christian community that we are a part of were all touched by keith's and your lives. Thank you, he is not forgotten, and very much loved and missed. We too look forward to that heavenly reunion to rejoice with you and keith and all the saints before our Father....
No offense intended but I don't really see what importance that has! LOL He got lessons, I presume, since he was a wee one, in different instruments and his parents always supported that.
it was such a blessing to find these videos. thank you for uploading them. I grew up on his music (though I was a baby when he died, my parents always played his music), and I'm so touched by his life.
I was 1 when he died, and like you I was raised listening to it. My children are now going to be raised hearing the good news through the beautiful voice and music of Keith.
does anyone know where i can get keith's catholic chronicles tracts, melody, his wife doesn't print them anymore cause she was getting pressured from catholics about them. in other words, she sold out
It seems to me that with today's technology that we could have a super database of all the Christians in the world that got a specific leading from God and put it online. Maybe then through statistical analysis the voice of God can be analyzed and for patterns and categorized for the less spiritual who need a specific answer. No need to keep reinventing the wheel.
WOW! That would be a great idea. Well since that is not really an option, guess we'll just have to "know the tree by the fruit it bears." From this vid he had some pretty good fruit. I would call him a true psalmist rather than a musician.
Then there needs to be a "laptop in for every Christian" campaign so they can enter their revelations anywhere, anytime. Eventually all one would need to do is go to the database to find any specific answer for most every situation. Then the average Christian won't have an excuse for not doing God's will. It is needed because the Bible is too vague and is why Christians claim they need special leading.
wow...then there would be no need for God to be bothered, we just see what was done prior...Oh! We would make our own computer God, or better yet WE can be our own God,(like so many others who do not follow Christ)
We (I) always ask God- "What about such-n-such or so-n-so. What about them?" ...and Jesus response: "... what is that to you? You, follow ME." I think I'm going to listen more often.
With all the debates about this religion vs that religion, it simply boils down to following the voice of God. What you said was so simply put and so well said.
Does the voice of God lead one to go to R-rated movies as most Christians do? Or does the voice of God lead women to strip practically naked at the public swimming pool as most Christians do? Just wondering if there are any specifics that we have learned about the voice of God in the last two thousand years.
Well I have some of the same beef's, but what it all boils down to is I can not speak for how someone else does or does not follow the leading of the holy spirit. I guess in this day and time a sold out christian is so rare. I am in awe at Keith Green's life and it give me new hope that man really can follow the voice of God and the leading of the holy ghost.
These are great questions. The simple answer that God would never direct anyone in contradiction to His Word. "Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path"
I just listened to the clip you suggested Entropy56.I posted a comment. OUCH! There was no gospel there unfortunately only the lash of the law. Sad what passes for 'preaching' these days....
Success? What is that and who defines it? How does a concept like 'success'(whatever that means) enter into the life of faith? ( I'm speaking with a smile here, These exchanges can seem blunt without friendly eye contact)
Concerning the Calvinist Christians I mentioned above... they are speaking of success as large numbers. Mega churches and political and cultural influence. It is kind of a love-hate relationship because they probably share similar politics and morality but different theology. At least they are not shooting each other like Muslims.
(part 2) Entropy56 cont. ( Sort of like 'christian/taliban' living) Finney taught the latter, just curious about Keith Greens understanding of the gospel, if he held to what Finney preached about salvation.
Thanks for the response Entropy56. Calvin vs. Arminius. What about Luther's view? He was 'augustinian'. Augustine was 'Paulinian' The question still remains in christianity today: Who saves whom? Does God save out of HIS free will thru Jesus, or must we save ourselves by OUR will thru our own repentance and determination.
Google "Calvinism vs Arminianism" and knock yourself out. Heheh. There are also plenty of YouTube videos.
My view (mentioned elsewhere here) is that one can't live one's doctrines anyway. Does a Calvinist know how a woman should dress modestly any better than an Arminian? Both believe in rendering unto God what is God's and then take out insurance.
I know Calvinist Christians that resent the modern Free-Will Evangelical success of mega churches around the world. They see it as a falling away from the true Gospel and would rather have a smaller tent than a larger one if it means preserving their theology.
In a practical sense, I am happy for the success of modern Evangelicals as a buffer against the coming Muslim onslaught. One has to choose ones fights according to present realities.
A friend of mine went to stay at 'Last Days' in the mid 80's. I was SHOCKED when I heard that Keith endorsed and taught Charles Finny's theology! Finney taught absolute heresy. He did not hold to justification by faith. He was classic 'works righteousness'. Is this the 'gospel' that Keith taught also? I don't know much of his understanding of the Gospel.
Radicals change things. Jesus was the ultimate radical. He certainly shook things up! Once in awhile there comes someone like a Keith Green who shakes things up. We should all be radicals, some in soft ways, and some who cracks people over the head. God shakes us up. We need to shake up our world. What a legacy this young radical musician has. I can't wait for the day when we see how many radicals were 'radicalized' by his example.
Well I heard that fifty percent of those in the Jesus movement, such as in Costa Mesa, who were going to those concerts back in the 70s are divorced now. It is easy to glorify the past and make it more than it was. Personally, at least half of my Christian friends are now divorced.
I understand what you're saying about legalism in a previous posting. I also understand what you're saying about the rate of divorce. "Zeal" is often masked in legalism. Christians, including myself, need to be careful not to be misunderstood in WHAT we're about by HOW we're doing things. Good point, Entropy!Unfortunately divorce isn't exempt from the Christian world. It's not a perfect world! Humans make decisions, often bad ones, including Christians. It's a sad statistic.
You are missing the point. Keith's message was to be 100% sold out for Jesus. It is the Holy Spirit that will guide, and lead others, YOU are the light of the world, so let your light shine.
Excuse me ebalida for asking but were you addressing your message to me? I seem to be the one who has said anything that would match your response. You must click the reply link to respond specifically.
The term "100% sold out" doesn't mean anything to me until we start talking about particulars. Did Keith sin?
Thank you for this series. I learned so much about Keith Green's life I didn't know before. His outreach and desire to be there for so many. I only knew about his music, but this was so much more. His songs still make me cry as I feel the holy spirit through his music and words.
Thank you for putting together yjis fabulous series. I am glad I was able to see Keith perform live several times. He was always inspiring, as is your work in putting this series together for us all to view. Thank you
Keith and his friend Randy have both inspired me for almost 30 years. They heavily influenced my own songwriting (which of course was never anything as awesome as what they did) and Asleep in the Light is still one of my favorite songs ever and I try to share it whenever I have the chance. I saw Keith in concert twice and I was always impressed with his passion for Jesus and for his amazing talent. I can't wait to meet him! Thanks for sharing Melody...
Amazing testimony! One mans truth of what christaianity is supposed to be especially to the point of GOVING THE GOSPEL FREE!! Every christian, minister,Etc should follow the example. Paul himself said I teach the gospel free of charge. Todays ministries have become spoiled in the fruits of riches and are corrupting this generation.
Thank you for putting this together. I am familiar with some of Keith's songs, but did not know his story. These videos have been a source of great inspiration. ^i^
Keith put it, THE LORD IS COMING BACK TO REWARD US ACCORDING TO WHAT WE HAVE DONE. What we have chosen. Moses put his spirit on 70 men, and as Jesus put it, "if they receive you, they receive me." I wrote the story of my life about this as the daughter of a priest, who ended up with a serial murderer and rapist. If you go to a web site called precioustestimonies dot com look under, HE SENT A MAN TO FREE ME. If WE take heed to the doctrine, OUR obedience can change peoples lives.
I'm happy to say that I play the song "You Put This Love in My Heart" daily at my house and have done it many times for solos at church. Everyone loves it. Praise the Lord!
Keith and Melody`s music and passion were powerful, an epistle read by all. Thank you for posting, made me remember what kind of Christian I want to be....Alex
Rats! I really wanted to see the credits at the end of this film for all who worked on this fine tribute to Keith. Can anyone roll the credits with a Part 8 please?
I just finished reading "No Compromise" and cried my eyes out. I had never heard of Keith before. I became a Christian after Keith had been "promoted to Glory". I immediately went to the computer to see if there was any footage of his concerts and here was this amazing story of his life....and I cried again. What an amazing man of God and you too Melody to carry on the Ministry....Bless you and your family as you still reach people for the Kingdom.
i heard he used to be a drugy before becoming a cristian. He inspired he a lot i love his music.Everytime i hear THE PROTACOL SON SONG I BREAK DOWN AND CRY.He was truly blessed.GOD BLESS ALL.
As a fellow Christian, I give the Lord Thanks for the person who has posted these video clips on this site. What a fantastic inspiration for believers (young and old) everywhere. Melody Green's biography book "No Compromise" (about Keith's life) I highly recommend to anyone.....
I just realised it is 25 years this month since Keith went to Heaven and how much his Holy Spirit inspired music still impacts me 25 years later. Thanks Melody for allowing this posting and for sharing the message of Jesus with us through Keith Green.
Wow. I'm so filled with joy that I watched this whole series. I started listening to Keith at age 4 by means of my mothers' 8-track tape copies of his first two albums, I'm 30 now. Keith was a true example of how we all need to be in the Spirit. I'm sure we'll all get to hear him pound those keys again when we get up there!
I cant wait to meet you all one day, you're brother in Christ Jesus, I can't expres enough how much his music has plyd a roll in my walk with the Lord. Love you all.
Keith Green died four years before I even came to know Christ. And it was a few years after that, that I even got to know about him. Thanks so much for posting this. I knew very little about him aside from his music. I don't think I'd ever even seen video of him! Certainly not singing or speaking.
I started listening to Keith at 13 years of age. I have to admit that his zeal for Christ is contagious. For those who hate being lost in search of a world view that satisfies, you will find yourself relating to this guy.
This was so awesome..Thank you for posting these videos. Keith's songs speak what words we find hard to utter. The very heart of all our issues. He changed alot of perceptions of what Christianity is, and pointed to a high way of living. Still so so relevent today. I know the fire and zeal Keith had can be ours too.
Keith was different. He lived out what he preached... He put his faith into actions. Rich Mullins was much the same way. Rich gave away the vast majority of his wealth, and lived on the wages of a single person at the poverty level. God's used both artists as intruments that brought me closer to Him. Thank God for people like Keith & Rich. I can't wait to get to Heaven and meet them. They're the modern-day Moses & Abraham. Thanks, Monum, for sharing.
You put it right. Your words are on point about these two men of the Lord. What an awesome testimony... if their lives could only be taught to our youth to engage and encourage them to move on in God. Awesome!
I could be missing something. I don't know if Keith taught legalism, I din't thinkt hat he did...but there's nothing wrong with preachign absolute surrender to Christ, thats a wonderful and basic doctrine of Christianity.
Keith has a tract that talks about how focusing on legalism can choke the will of God in peoples lives. He has a ton of tracts that go beyond basic Christianity and the doctrine of "Don't do this, Don't do that"
Keith Green's music and life had a profound impact on my life. He really had a limitless talent for music, and he was an inspiration to me in my early 20's.
I was there through the Jesus era and heard Keith several times. It was a special time but the excitement of it began to fade in the 1980s. I was similar to Keith in my struggle with law and grace and it ruined my life. Still today, there is a rumor that the Lord killed Keith because he was legalistic. I am glad for Christians because they are moderate compromisers and provide some stability to society. Each person must find his comfort zone with religion or else it will tear him up.
Keth said, "no compromise." Christaians always compromise. For instance, Keith was against R-rated movies. Most Christians today have no problem with it.
Thank you for your reply. Most Christians admit they sin every day. Therefore they compromise everyday. I would never want to try to change anyone's mind about their faith because life is difficult enough.
It's a dangerous thing to tar every person with the same brush - I loathe porn so much that when I see the playboy logos on girls' t-shirts it makes me feel sick for society. Just remember you haven't met EVERY Christian on the planet so you cannot make ridiculous sweeping statements!
You will notice that I never said "every." I'd exempt my 80 year old mother from that list, but I bet if we took a survey of those under 60 you'd be disappointed. I know whereof I speak. Go ahead; start asking the church members in your city and get back to me. I already did.
And herein is the problem with religion. It is about generalities such as "passion" and "commitment" but no one wants to talk about specifics because of being labeled as "legalistic," as Keith was. He didn't even approve of having pictures taken of him. "Idol makers" he called them. Was he right or wrong?
Absolutely right if the people taking the pictures wanted to stick them to their bedroom wall etc. Christians worship God through Christ NOT God through mere sinful man.
I am in the UK I don't know where you are. I know that all the born again Christians I know wouldn't be into porn as we all have higher standards - ie to become Christ-like.
Christians are not officially into porn as defined by the ratings system, of course. The problem is that main stream media and movies are full of it. Where is the outcry against it? Nowhere, because they watch the same movies as the world.
Most of the language in churches today is in generalities and no one has the guts to get specific. You see, one has to compromise to even survive inside the church or else be labeled a legalist.
But, let's not get focused only one particular thing. The question is what does commitment and passion look like? There is a tension between what one says he believes and what one actually does. The saying, "actions speak louder than words" comes to mind. In the end one has to deal with particular behavior and not just attitude.
The Baby Boomer generation emphasizes feeling more than previous generations in England or America where I live. My argument is that this is where religion falls apart. One can't live the particulars. The more one knows the more one has to do until he is squeezed into a pretzel.
Religion is merely man made ordinances created to make people feel better! Christianity is a relationship with God through Jesus Christ - this is what Keith Green advocated - Relationship NOT religion!
In actual fact not every Christian has a TV nor goes to the movies. Take the Amish or Mennonites. Even Christians within my church wouldn't go to the cinema nor have TVs so again you cannot tar everyone with the same brush!
rhyfelwDuw, again, read my message above. I never said all. You're skirting the issue. Most Christians are supporting Hollywood with their money and then talk about how they are sold out for Jesus. Shame on them. We have to talk about specifics if there is to be any meaning to the words.

If you want to buy this DVD go to the online shop and click the button DVD's & Teaching CD's.
it just cracked me up

hehe, i know ;) But i posted it on youtube without hinderance from Last Days Ministry and wanted to give the option if people still wanted it after they saw it (for free). I am sure LDM is doing good things with the money. :)
monum 2 years ago
@monum -- Is this "buying" from LDM? I know they used to (hope still are) say "buy" and mean "donate" if you can/want but can still take it for free if need be. ??
mletrans 1 year ago
@mletrans don't quite understand what you mean? Can you clarify?
monum 1 year ago
@monum -- Oh I'm sorry. This was in reply to YOU replying to zwreckless1 about how they wouldn't take money for the CDs etc. but then you see "by the dvd" at the online shop. :) Just trying to clarify that they probably still give it away for free if needed but that if you want to buy to "donate" you can??? No biggie.
mletrans 1 year ago
@monum The person wants to know if LDM still accepts $1 checks (or no payment at all) and "I'm sorry but that's all I can afford" and will still send the requested materials back.
blessedalcuin 1 year ago
@zwreckless1 Maybe their shoving the money into their pockets today...I email tham and ask them to pray for me, and they say there is noone there to pray for me, and then I get emails of stuff I can buy from them....Man, what happened. I wish I had a 160 acre ranch and an airplane, while I gave away my albums...He was getting money from somewhere....I don't think Jesus returned and provided this stuff for him and went back to heaven...pray for me--good greif

When I started reaching out to others, helping wherever I could, I started to see my healing, may God richly bless everyone who reads this, & remember, what others do, doesn't mean it has to be you! We're all individuals in Gods' sight! AMEN!

HE did not say to Kill them...
How many people in america who call
themselves christian, support killing???
donald4yah 3 years ago
That's a legitimate question so I'm not sure why 2 people gave you a thumbs down. My answer would be I don't know. I won't lie and say I think there *aren't* any that do, but I would say there's less than you would think. Hope that's not too vague an answer!

Keith Greens life ended with death, and this ought to make everyone think why, his were cut so short, so quickly, and why??
If Green brought the REAL Heavenly Father, to america, then why is he not still alive, to continue this???
America is a fraud, form it's very inception, and I am born and raised american, an iraqi wounded disabled veteran, and a believer, of The Creator, who Created all things..
america has created a way which seems right in religion, but is actually death..
donald4yah 3 years ago
Donald,
Keith was of the Lord and lived for the Lord. You can hear it in His music.
I feel that the Lord called Keith home because Keith was ready to go home.
America has its hypocrisies, but it stills stands as the last bastion of freedom.
Without our country in this world, you would soon not be able to express your own opinions, nor I, my own.
And your right. Christianity in this country doesn't always reflect Christ, but don't throw the baby out with the bath water.

garethb1961 3 years ago

Now, as believers what are WE gonna' do? I asked myself a challenging question today, is what I'm living for worth Jesus dying for?
stratocat6 3 years ago
His music is very inspiring. Was wondering about the crash. Do you think its plausible that, Keith believed that the only direction left to him to reach people all over, was to allow for the plane to take his life? He was just getting out of the secular period and asking got for greater wisdom than he was capable of and it seems that its not a big stretch to put 2 and 2 together. I wonder how stable ones mind is, at moments of profound doubts.........
Luciferousyepez 3 years ago
What you're saying doesn't make any sense, his ministry was in full stride w/Last Days Ministries & a strong vision for believers to enter the mission field, it was an accident, pure & simple.
stratocat6 3 years ago 4
I was not intending for my comments to insinuate anything different than what you are saying or even the reality of the intensity by which he conducted himself and his campagne for Gods will. I was questioning the man's rationale, in possibly believeing that taking an option to distroy himself, would do more for the message and finally absolve himself from what he was starting to believe, that people were more involved with him than with jesus.
Luciferousyepez 3 years ago

Sometimes he gives us glimpses of it but that's the exception to the rule.
tall32guy 2 years ago
That's ridiculous and doesn't make any sense. Keith wouldn't commit suicide. He wasn't even the pilot. His 3yr old son and 2yr old daughter and family were with him on the plane. Keith was never a violent person at all! He was a peace loving, loving husband, sincere Christian.

I'll never forget the first time I heard Keith, in 1991, I was driving down the road and Make My Life A Prayer To You was played on the radio.
Entropy56 4 years ago
WOW! That would be a great idea. Well since that is not really an option, guess we'll just have to "know the tree by the fruit it bears." From this vid he had some pretty good fruit. I would call him a true psalmist rather than a musician.
jeanetteaw 4 years ago
Then there needs to be a "laptop in for every Christian" campaign so they can enter their revelations anywhere, anytime. Eventually all one would need to do is go to the database to find any specific answer for most every situation. Then the average Christian won't have an excuse for not doing God's will. It is needed because the Bible is too vague and is why Christians claim they need special leading.
Entropy56 4 years ago
Correction: "laptop for every Christian"
Entropy56 4 years ago
wow...then there would be no need for God to be bothered, we just see what was done prior...Oh! We would make our own computer God, or better yet WE can be our own God,(like so many others who do not follow Christ)
jeanetteaw 4 years ago
This was an amazing life. Look what God can do with a yielded life.
jeanetteaw 4 years ago
We (I) always ask God- "What about such-n-such or so-n-so. What about them?" ...and Jesus response: "... what is that to you? You, follow ME." I think I'm going to listen more often.
Dano853 4 years ago
With all the debates about this religion vs that religion, it simply boils down to following the voice of God. What you said was so simply put and so well said.
jeanetteaw 4 years ago
Does the voice of God lead one to go to R-rated movies as most Christians do? Or does the voice of God lead women to strip practically naked at the public swimming pool as most Christians do? Just wondering if there are any specifics that we have learned about the voice of God in the last two thousand years.
Entropy56 4 years ago
Well I have some of the same beef's, but what it all boils down to is I can not speak for how someone else does or does not follow the leading of the holy spirit. I guess in this day and time a sold out christian is so rare. I am in awe at Keith Green's life and it give me new hope that man really can follow the voice of God and the leading of the holy ghost.

Success? What is that and who defines it? How does a concept like 'success'(whatever that means) enter into the life of faith? ( I'm speaking with a smile here, These exchanges can seem blunt without friendly eye contact)
tickmann 4 years ago
(Saw you over there at the other link tickmann.)
Concerning the Calvinist Christians I mentioned above... they are speaking of success as large numbers. Mega churches and political and cultural influence. It is kind of a love-hate relationship because they probably share similar politics and morality but different theology. At least they are not shooting each other like Muslims.
Entropy56 4 years ago
(part 2) Entropy56 cont. ( Sort of like 'christian/taliban' living) Finney taught the latter, just curious about Keith Greens understanding of the gospel, if he held to what Finney preached about salvation.
tickmann 4 years ago
Thanks for the response Entropy56. Calvin vs. Arminius. What about Luther's view? He was 'augustinian'. Augustine was 'Paulinian' The question still remains in christianity today: Who saves whom? Does God save out of HIS free will thru Jesus, or must we save ourselves by OUR will thru our own repentance and determination.
tickmann 4 years ago
Much of the theology I had encountered in the 70's (Chuck Smith) was free will, anabaptist, arminianism.
This opposes the Gospel of grace that Paul taught. Any thoughts on this matter?
tickmann 4 years ago
Google "Calvinism vs Arminianism" and knock yourself out. Heheh. There are also plenty of YouTube videos.
My view (mentioned elsewhere here) is that one can't live one's doctrines anyway. Does a Calvinist know how a woman should dress modestly any better than an Arminian? Both believe in rendering unto God what is God's and then take out insurance.
Entropy56 4 years ago
I know Calvinist Christians that resent the modern Free-Will Evangelical success of mega churches around the world. They see it as a falling away from the true Gospel and would rather have a smaller tent than a larger one if it means preserving their theology.
In a practical sense, I am happy for the success of modern Evangelicals as a buffer against the coming Muslim onslaught. One has to choose ones fights according to present realities.
Entropy56 4 years ago
A friend of mine went to stay at 'Last Days' in the mid 80's. I was SHOCKED when I heard that Keith endorsed and taught Charles Finny's theology! Finney taught absolute heresy. He did not hold to justification by faith. He was classic 'works righteousness'. Is this the 'gospel' that Keith taught also? I don't know much of his understanding of the Gospel.
tickmann 4 years ago
Radicals change things. Jesus was the ultimate radical. He certainly shook things up! Once in awhile there comes someone like a Keith Green who shakes things up. We should all be radicals, some in soft ways, and some who cracks people over the head. God shakes us up. We need to shake up our world. What a legacy this young radical musician has. I can't wait for the day when we see how many radicals were 'radicalized' by his example.
JamesEdwinJones 4 years ago
Well I heard that fifty percent of those in the Jesus movement, such as in Costa Mesa, who were going to those concerts back in the 70s are divorced now. It is easy to glorify the past and make it more than it was. Personally, at least half of my Christian friends are now divorced.
Entropy56 4 years ago
I understand what you're saying about legalism in a previous posting. I also understand what you're saying about the rate of divorce. "Zeal" is often masked in legalism. Christians, including myself, need to be careful not to be misunderstood in WHAT we're about by HOW we're doing things. Good point, Entropy!Unfortunately divorce isn't exempt from the Christian world. It's not a perfect world! Humans make decisions, often bad ones, including Christians. It's a sad statistic.

Keith Green died four years before I even came to know Christ. And it was a few years after that, that I even got to know about him. Thanks so much for posting this. I knew very little about him aside from his music. I don't think I'd ever even seen video of him! Certainly not singing or speaking.
May I have that kind of passion for Christ!

You're welcome :)
If you search on Google Video you can also find his memorial service held one year after he died.
And you can also read his biography, written by his wife. Very impressive book!
ps. but remember, it's all about Christ! :)

Chikko23 5 years ago

Entropy56 5 years ago
Keith was not a legalist. He never believed in or preached salvation by the law.
timothytask 5 years ago
No problem. I never said he was. But this video said as much.
Entropy56 5 years ago
sorry to say this but you are missing something
slinger777 4 years ago
Keth said, "no compromise." Christaians always compromise. For instance, Keith was against R-rated movies. Most Christians today have no problem with it.
Entropy56 4 years ago
>Christaians always compromise.< That's rather a sweeping statement - Christians do not ALWAYS compromise!
rhyfelwrDuw 4 years ago
Thank you for your reply. Most Christians admit they sin every day. Therefore they compromise everyday. I would never want to try to change anyone's mind about their faith because life is difficult enough.
Entropy56 4 years ago
Christians compromise on what when they admit they sin?
rhyfelwrDuw 4 years ago
I already gave an example above. Porn has become mainstream and Christians are paying money for it.
Entropy56 4 years ago
It's a dangerous thing to tar every person with the same brush - I loathe porn so much that when I see the playboy logos on girls' t-shirts it makes me feel sick for society. Just remember you haven't met EVERY Christian on the planet so you cannot make ridiculous sweeping statements!
rhyfelwrDuw 4 years ago
You will notice that I never said "every." I'd exempt my 80 year old mother from that list, but I bet if we took a survey of those under 60 you'd be disappointed. I know whereof I speak. Go ahead; start asking the church members in your city and get back to me. I already did.
Entropy56 4 years ago
And herein is the problem with religion. It is about generalities such as "passion" and "commitment" but no one wants to talk about specifics because of being labeled as "legalistic," as Keith was. He didn't even approve of having pictures taken of him. "Idol makers" he called them. Was he right or wrong?
Entropy56 4 years ago
Absolutely right if the people taking the pictures wanted to stick them to their bedroom wall etc. Christians worship God through Christ NOT God through mere sinful man.
rhyfelwrDuw 4 years ago
I am in the UK I don't know where you are. I know that all the born again Christians I know wouldn't be into porn as we all have higher standards - ie to become Christ-like.
rhyfelwrDuw 4 years ago
Christians are not officially into porn as defined by the ratings system, of course. The problem is that main stream media and movies are full of it. Where is the outcry against it? Nowhere, because they watch the same movies as the world.
Entropy56 4 years ago
Most of the language in churches today is in generalities and no one has the guts to get specific. You see, one has to compromise to even survive inside the church or else be labeled a legalist.
Entropy56 4 years ago
But, let's not get focused only one particular thing. The question is what does commitment and passion look like? There is a tension between what one says he believes and what one actually does. The saying, "actions speak louder than words" comes to mind. In the end one has to deal with particular behavior and not just attitude.
Entropy56 4 years ago
The Baby Boomer generation emphasizes feeling more than previous generations in England or America where I live. My argument is that this is where religion falls apart. One can't live the particulars. The more one knows the more one has to do until he is squeezed into a pretzel.
Entropy56 4 years ago
Religion is merely man made ordinances created to make people feel better! Christianity is a relationship with God through Jesus Christ - this is what Keith Green advocated - Relationship NOT religion!
rhyfelwrDuw 4 years ago
I argree with you, but our eye's should not be on
what Keith did, or did not do. Jesus was the best
example of the difference between religion, and
true worship of the Father.
ebalida 4 years ago
In actual fact not every Christian has a TV nor goes to the movies. Take the Amish or Mennonites. Even Christians within my church wouldn't go to the cinema nor have TVs so again you cannot tar everyone with the same brush!
rhyfelwrDuw 4 years ago
rhyfelwDuw, again, read my message above. I never said all. You're skirting the issue. Most Christians are supporting Hollywood with their money and then talk about how they are sold out for Jesus. Shame on them. We have to talk about specifics if there is to be any meaning to the words.
