This competition is great, i had the oportunity of participating in my country finals and i have to say that the potential that everyone brings into the table is amazing, people really work to make a product that is compelling and can make the difference in this world, Microsoft just give us the oportunity to present it to the world and get the money that you need to invest to make the idea global. Smartphones and tablets wouldn't have been nearly as popular, if it weren't for iPhone and iPad.

Hell, I don't think there would've been the massive amount of tablets on the market, if it weren't because of Apple. I remember everyone saying that there are no points to tablets and they're completely useless, yet Apple proved them wrong.

People are just brainwashed by apple. Its nothing more than a bigger iphone. I like tables, im not gonna lie, mostly cuz they look cool, but still, it has not purpose (unless you dont have a smartphone, or computer).

I've played around with tables, and its nt that amazing (and by tablet i mean all tables, nt only apples tablet) which is why im kinda disgusted by the idea of windows 8.

@CodeNameUnknown1 Well, I think they have a purpose. Not specifically for me, as my netbook does everything I want it to do, but for people like my mom, who works as an hairdresser.

She needs to check her e-mail and online reservations all the time and she hates browsing the internet on a smartphone (even the bigger sized ones), so a tablet is perfect for her. No need to wait for startup, it's fast, it's easy and it fits in her bag perfectly.
