Beautiful bike. I have the same in midnight and the Corbins. I have the Roadhouse slip on and was thinking of changing to Hard Krome for a louder sound. Are they loud enough? Did you have any problems fitting them under the corbins? They are sold out at the HK website, where did you get them from? I also noticed they have the ones for the Roadliner shorter than the ones for the Strat. The ones you have are for the strat, right? They sound really good.
@zutt3 The pipes are quite loud if you get on it. I don't think they're too bad when riding normally. I checked them a few years ago and they were 96dB at idle, which is quite loud. I have not heard the Roadhouse, but I have heard the D&D, and the HK3's were definitely louder, and they're quite a bit louder than the Yamaha Drags. The V&H 2-1 aren't as loud either.
I do have the "long" Stratoliner version installed. The biggest issue with the length is scraping on sharp righthand turns.
@canadianshadowrider There are a lot of complaints from people about the bags. Fortunately, mine have held up well. Others haven't been so lucky. Sergio @ the Ormond Beach store seems to be the best customer rep they have.
I always warn people now about the Corbin experience. They don't seem to stand behind their customers.
BTW, the newest generation bags do have metal locks.
@guitarguy97739 I don't have any extra popping. There is some popping which was there with the stock exhaust as well. It's just a little louder now. Truthfully, most of it can be controlled with the throttle. Generally, you shouldn't need a fuel processor unless you're changing the air intake as well.
That seems to be an issue with the newer bags, although mine does have 1 bubble. Here's a suggestion, talk to Sergio at the Ormond Beach store.... he's been much more helpful than any other Corbin employee. While I love the bags (and don't regret the decision to purchase them at all), Corbin's customer service is horrid. I don't know if I will ever buy their products again.
The exhaust is Hard Krome 3" Big Straights. The bags are Corbin Fleetliners. The bags are enormous, but a lot of people have had problems with the finish (bubbling).
Sweet...Own a 1100 silverado and am trying to decide where to go next. Could modify this one but that doesnt really up the reasale value. Looking to upgrade. Stratoliner and roadliner seem fantastic,,still learning,,, Any advice?
Just bought my 07 Roadliner yesterday. Want to get the Hard Krome 3" pipes asap... Have you have any issues with them since your last post?? Thanks for any reply
No, I haven't had any issues. I am planning on adding the SmartPartz Hard Kore Quiet baffles to tone them down a little. I get some complaints from the guys I ride with because it's so loud.
Keep in mind that the Stratoliner version of the pipes are quite a big longer (which I have) than the Roadliner version.
most beatyfull bike I've ever seen. sorry, but harley is shit, when I'm lookin' on Roadliner.beatyfull sound, when I'll buy bigger bike than my VN 800, I'll buy only Roadliner
I keep eyeing those Corbin saddlebags. Too bad they cost so much. The first Liner I test rode in Petaluma, Ca. had those on there and they had me drooling. Blessings to you.

Have you had any problems with popping since you changed the pipes? Did you install a fuel commander as well?

No. The HK's have an O2 sensor bung. If you add a BAK (air intake), then you definitely need one.

That's an awesome bike but you're not much of a videographer. How about a reshoot...
crocostimpy 4 years ago
No, I'm not a videographer! I just took this as a quick way for other 'liner owners to get a sense of the HK's sound.
Thanks for the bike compliment though. It's a great bike!
