  • the black and white does goes nice with the rod iron too and its cooler softer than bright colors walking in and the wall color is really nice something different .... love all your work and videos .. Joe .....

  • I like how you test us... that was pretty cool. I felt like a professionale student. Can I have a certificate? The one that was on the wall! But seriously... good stuff.

  • I'm enjoying your videos. Bless you for taking the time to teach others...=)

  • Love your videos. I need some ideas to hang art in a two story family room. I have 5 windows on top and 5 windows on the bottom. Do I need to keep the art below the top of the windows. Any comment or directive would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Gwen3435

  • Lol! Love your personality!

  • lol big butt and stripes! your explanations are easy and make sense! love love love your ideas and videos!

  • I liked this

  • Hey! Your awesome, I'm on my hunt for interior design ideas. I'm doing my bath room, and I am totally in to interior design all together. one thing I've learned, you either have an eye for it or you just simply dont. YOU certainly do. Matter of fact my husband just recruited me to a couple who has no idea how to do color. Guess what! my first job as a designer! and you, just became my first coach on do's and don'ts. Thank You! You Rock.

  • Hi Rebecca! Being ever so passionate about interior design, I love the channel you've created here on YouTube. I have an almost 19 ft space on my stairway landing, & have priced out so many art/mirror options; but I really love the fabric piece you have in your home! And for $200?? That can't be beat! Will you share where you purchased the fabric?? I LOVE it's texture & want something just like that. Keep up the beautiful work! Best, Jenelle

  • Your house is so beautiful! I love your art choices and the color of your wall so much!

I also love the color of your stairs! It makes your house look like nature!

  • You are gorgeous and so smart! Why weren't we all born with some design know how in us. You make it all look so easy.

  • I'm starting to develop basic art placement skills just from watching video #1. I know this, because as soon as I saw the certificate I thought it didn't look right, and then when you added the black vertical piece I thought it made such a difference! Thanks for the tips.

  • Thanks Rebecca! I have lot's of LARGE empty wall space and you have got my created juices flowing!!!!

  • I've came across your vid a few months ago...obsolutely love it...thanks for the tips...your house kinda reminds of mine with your sea/ocean theme...with subdue tones...which I LOVE...so while going through your vid, I came across your xmas videos...WHOA!! I can't wait for OCT when you start your xmas decorations...haha...love, love a creative person...you are gifted...;o) so, glad I came across your videos.

  • OMG! Design school online!! I have two problem rooms! One is a very long thin hallway and the other is the small room that my youngest moved out of when his brother left and took the brothers bedroom. We want to make the extra small room an office and mother in law room for visits. Help!! I will submit pics and room size. It is mess though!!

  • RR I love your channel... thank you so much for all the amazing pieces of advice you share. You are simply fabulous! My bf and I just moved in together and after a month, the apartment is still looking like a storage with boxes around. Needless to say, I have no idea how to tackle it... I just subscribed to your channel, and taking notes... wish me luck... and God bless to you!!! Keep up the great work! Thanks a million!!!

  • Oh my gosh I loved the shelf with flowers on it! <3

  • you are hot, glad to see your collar match your cuffs x ;-)

  • Always great Ideas Robe!!!

  • I like you ideas, would you please give some ideas for tight budgets. Thank you.

  • What a great tip !!!!!! I've just been all around my home and I am so pleased that I have done this naturally, all my picture are in the right place and the right space LOL, I got something right? Thanks for sharing. XXXX

  • What a great video, it was really cool. I love anything to do with interior design and furnishing !!!

  • This series has been so informative! I learned a lot about picture placement. Thank you!

  • Off topic. I have that same exact printer. However, you keep giving me great ideas.

  • what color and brand paint is the wall

  • Thank you for recommending this series to me for my weird, vertical space I told you about. Very informative and concise! My two story, slanted wall is on the focal-point wall of our living room. The blankness stares at me like a giant cyclops, so I'm going to find something beautifully vertical to tone down the monster. Thank you!!

  • Where did you get that shelf that you hung in the office? Was it expensive and does it come in different colours? And whats the best height to hang a picture?

  • First of all your home is lovely. Thanks for the 3 videos, they were very helpful, as I just moved into a new home and have lots of empty wall space. I'm glad I picked out the right art for over my couch: )

  • Haha, you have such a warm funny way presenting your decoration tips (and essentials).

  • your hair is AWESOME in this episode. thanks for all the advice. great tips!

    cheers

  • Buck brought me here.. great channel and videos. makes me wanna be an interior designer!

  • What the Buck sent me this way.... well his fans. Love what you have shown so far! Can't wait to go through all of your vidieo's. Best of luck with your channel.

  • I love your channel! Will you come decorate my home for me? XD haha jk. But you have a gorgeous home and stylish hair :) i alwasy find myself looking at your hair. is that weird? :D

  • Hi Rebecca, ArturoTrejo sent me to you. So glad he did! I have watched everyone of your videos and learned so much. You do such beautiful work! I live in So. OC so were sort of neighbors! I would love to get some tips from you on Dorm Room design for style and storage. My son will be going to Boston, so I will have to get everything there and do magic in two days. I hope there's an IKEA there, haha!

  • I'm having trouble figuring out what to put in my bedroom on the walls. I have a bulletin board but there seems like too much space on the top and bottom of the wall. Is there something you would recommend instead of getting rid of the bulletin board?

  • @corinniebobinnie9 you could try putting some decorative art or framed pictures of yourself and friends. That way It's like a bulletin board, just fewer pieces and you make the most out of your space. Hope that helped!

  • I've learnt so much from your videos; they are great and informative and have really made me want to think about becoming an interior designer when I'm older (I am 16). I was just wondering please could you do a tutorial on how to make smaller rooms look better, colour schemes etc. Thank you :)

  • @TreeBabes Thank you. I encourage you to go into this field if its something you really love. Glad I could be a part of that inspiration :-) I will take your request into consideration for next years video line up... Very exciting what's coming in 2011 :-)

  • @robesondesign No THANK YOU for uploading these videos x i've also learnt soooo much from your videos. Im not sure if i should say this but wanted to share you know in your living room i've done exact same colour in my small kitchen (",) is it wrong decision? i was desperate to decorate lol. I REALLY wanted to decorate my home just saving some money now :) could you plz tell me how much will it cost for 1 dream bedroom, i really want you to do it but i dont know if i can :(...YOU are LOVELY x

  • I adore your videos!! Could you please do a tutorial about paint color, I know that it is a personal choice but the paint colors you have in the rooms seem to be amazing I love them all You are a inspiration, your funny and beautiful your awesome

    Thanks again, RR

  • GREAT TIPS. God you have even a stylish way of decorating yourself. I LOVE THE TIP! I have my diploma in my office that I'm now decorating and I made the same mistake. The "vertical" piece on the wall DID look so much better. I'm so lucky because I'm having a living room put into my house. so I can decorate a new teensy foyer and living room, and I have a dance studio and office and spare bedrooms to decorate and I am STOKED. I'm so happy for your BEAUTIFUL channel. You are wonderful!

  • thanks for the tips, there help a lot ^^ i meen it! (sorry im denish and im bad at spelling even my own languaets...) i hope you keep makeing a lot of tips videos, i wan't to become an intorier designer or and decorater, or a organizer. ^^

    love Iris

  • Your Interior Designing is absolutely AMAZING! I'm stunned!

I love the tips you post in you videos. They are so helpful!

I'm 13 and I'm striving to become a designer as well. You're one of my many inspirations :)

I live in Dubai (I'm not local though, I moved here 4 years ago), pretty far away!

Anyways, Keep up the inspirational work! You're amazing! Thank you so much!

And by the way, I'm a fan of IKEA! I go through IKEA catalogues every day! Next summer I planned to redo my room completely!

  • This was really very very helpful. Loved It! Thank You Rebecca Sis, It was very interesting.

  • Where can I get stretcher boards from?

  • Still say you have the most amazing hair!!! How many colors are in your hair?? I'm serious. I am a hairdresser and would love to say I did your hair LOL... Maybe someday ;-)

  • Wow i love you videos cause i learn so much from you . Thank you :)

  • Thank you Rebecca!! Can you do a tutorial on how to decorate beds? The ones with lots of different sized pillows and looked luxurious and only came out on magazines? From how to make, best fabric to use, pillows placement etc. Been trying to achieve this look but failed! T-T

  • You Are So FUnny!

  • Great tips!

  • omg i love ur vid !!

  • Love this so neat!

  • Thanks for the quick response regarding the built in bookshelves. Yes, I would love a tutorial! I mean I've got bookshelves galore in the library, in the family room flanking a massive stone fireplace and in the master bedroom retreat... I just don't have that many books or space filling knick knacks (which by the way I dislike because it's clutter.) So, I am so looking forward to your tutorial. Thanks!!!

  • Nice creations,

    love it!

  • your house is amazingly decorated. can you please maybe do a house tour?

  • Random observation- the part where you are standing on your stairs, your house looks the same as the one in Paranormal Activity!! :O

  • YOU NEED YOUR OWN SHOW. lets start a petition!

  • YOUR SOO FUNNY LOVE YOUR PERSONALITY!

  • Great videos. Thanks for posting!

  • YOu have one of the nicest personalitys on youtube dood :) and i love what you did with the mini shelf!

  • I loved this series of decorating tips. Would you consider doing a video on how to decorate large bookshelves? I just moved into a new home with a library/study and lots of built in bookshelves in different parts of the house. I want the shelves to be decorated well and not just w/ a bunch of clutter. Help!

  • Great Idea @bb60605, I have lots of excellent photos of exactly what you are talking about because one of my signatures as a designer is to incorporate built-ins in nearly every home I do. That means.... lots of accessorizing as well. There all all types of styles too so it might be very interesting.

I'm thinking you want a tutorial on "how to" not just "here ya go" ... :-) Correct?

It might make for a long video but I could cut it up like I did here .

    Thanks for the suggestion..RR

  • Great tips and I love the art on the stairs!

  • i like your humor, and your ideas! awesome piece of fabric, i love textiles and have many different asian and indian fabrics that will look great likr this, thanks!

  • You're amazing!!

  • i adore your videos! you are such an inspiration. when i look around my room i see that it's all wrong.

  • I love your videos... can you do a series for small homes? None of my walls are very big... and how not to over do it...you know not hanging a piece on every wall without making it seem cold...

  • I just subbed I can tell you that much!!!

Your videos are so good. you look great, the interior design work is phenomenal you are funny and you are very helpful. you got my vote!

  • Wow, you're at 5000 subs already?! Have you applied for partnership with YouTube yet? You should if you haven't!

BTW What kind of product do you use to attach your art/picture frames to the walls?

  • Thank you @echo1v, I have not applied for Partner because I have 2 older videos with copy written music on them. Bummer ....

Thank you for commenting. Love the feedback and interaction. On our art pieces we use Blue Sticky Tack. you can get it at Office Depot.

Blue is the best but it comes in yellow but is not as sticky. White is available but even less sticky. Be sure to put on bottom 2 corners and use a level on top of the picture. Pressing firmly, the sticky tack will hold it straight. RR

  • Well Rebecca, I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. You are so funny. Your home is beautiful too. Love the color scheme. very So Cal!! How funny when you went and got the tape measure. Cracked me up.. Keep em coming girl!!
