I am always blown away listening to Janis. Her instrumentals alone are incredible but when she sings it's as if my heart hears every note and my body/being is taken away to a place more beautiful than words....

Her voice is just so beautiful. Even as a young teenager, she had a gorgeous voice - and it has never wavered. I read a comment here wherein someone said she sings to your soul and touches your heart and that she is truly a gift from God. I couldn't agree more -- very well said. :)

Janis is great. I saw her in November 2008 and got to talk to her a little after her gig. She is such a nice person and not to mention a great song writer. One of the best. :) Great guitar player. She started out on a Martin D18. I have one of those and it's great.

DEAD????!!! Are you kidding me??? Janis Ian is only in her 50's, man! I can assure you she is NOT DEAD!!! She is alive and well and still singing and bedazzling audiences everywhere she goes! Keep on keeping on, Janis!!! I agree with oldeblueboy.... Janis DOES keep getting better and better with age!!! She is phenomenal to say the least!!! Saw her in Boston a few years ago and she put on a FANTASTIC open-air concert at the Boston Folk Music Festival at the UMass Boston Campus.
