  • Well done, shortround

and many words are same - just turkish "y" is "ch"(ç), "dj"(c) in kyrgyz, "j" in kazakh...

  • Long live. the noble and great Turk nation (TUVA)

  • Вот американское телевидение хоть и в шоу показало Ондара с его чудесным, космическим горловым пением. А у нас Киркоров и Басков. И ещё бляди разные....

  • I have met Bady many times. He still has the same spirit as he does in this video. I just spent time with him a month ago. He is a true legend.

  • What a beautiful smile and real radiating happiness. I loved watching this it made me feel so wonderful inside. Thank you.

  • wow they are speaking Russian :D

  • It's so good. Im so proud of my country

  • Okay, this is officially my all time favourite youtube clip, ever! The whole world should be like the atmosphere in that sequence.

  • Wow, Bady has come a long way since 1993.

  • Amazing, and one of the best overtone singers in the world.

  • mongooroo baharhay

  • @tomilipin

it's sad how this world has degraded to the point where contact or appreciation is now associated with pedophilia. Hysterical people.

  • Beat that.

  • I am in love Kongar-ol Ondar. He is beautiful in every way.

  • That was one of the best things I ever seen. Thank you, tom

  • kutlu TUVA ulusu ALTAY irkinin

  • westerners are so faund of other but they know they will never be ass good as us of different races

  • @GundamFan360 in case you haven't figured it out yet, us westerners are of different race as well. Some of us of different race were born in the west. Ignorance obviously isn't just western thing...

  • @LD25Delta9 well u guys dont have anything unique except burgers and fries and neo nazis and cowboy music

thats pretty much the western world but for europe different story

  • @GundamFan360

None of which I am particularly proud of. I prefer Death Metal and Filet Mignon with a good English Dark to drink. And if I remember right, wasn't it Europe that started that whole Nazi tradition? Oh wait, that's right, we ended that war for you with the same thing that has kept everyone but North Korea scared of us ever since. Again, obviously ignorance is not just a western thing.

  • @GundamFan360 not all of us westerners are what you see on tv,

  • @WVliberty so you mean u guys are not cowboys and feed ur horses cheeseburgers or have really bad teeth and addicted to tea. Or not all of you hate the rest of the world and are crazy racist rednecks that ride on horses in the full moon burning houses that black people live in?

  • @GundamFan360 that does not make sense

  • @WVliberty lol

  • @GundamFan360 redencks were a term given to my people for their fight against the coal companies, burning black peoples houses is the kkk, obviously your your trying to say whites in the americas are a backward stereotype to you, feed horses cheeseburgers is just dumb, addicted to tea, sweet tea is good but when i think of people addicted to tea i think of chinese and british people, bad teeth that usually goes to the british stereotype,

  • @GundamFan360 And where would you be without the West?

  • Bady is grown now and a champion throat singer currently touring North America in his band Alash with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones.

  • Tuva is not a country, doh. Mr. Medvedev, please pay attention!

  • Well, with the technique demonstrated by the interpreter at 1:26 it would be even possible to "produce" (not really to sing) a 3rd note at the same time ;)

  • americanos se rien de todo no entienden nada

  • That kid is awesome

  • I'm puzzled, is this specific contextualization of Tuvan chant a mockery or simply American amazement?

  • 1:52 CLASSIC look.

  • 很喜欢

  • "Singing" American kids (Kidz Bop, cough) got nothin on this talented chap! :D

  • lol chevy chase had his own show, lol

  • I'm totally hooked on this, and I just started listening to Tuvan throat singing tonight!

  • Just great - love youz for it.

    achim

  • @tombomba007 I bet he loves you TUVA! :D

  • we love tuva

  • I am happy in my heart

  • nice one chevy you ol dirty bastard!

  • I really enjoy these people. I wish I could get the chance to meet Kongar-ol. He seems like a very happy guy. I've been learning Tuvan throat singing lately from Kongar-ol and Huun Huur Tu, does anyone else have any suggestions on learning to throat sing?

    Please and thank you,

    Seeds Are Us.

  • can the lower note change?

  • He is AMAZING!

  • Tuva was a country for a short time in the early 20th century. They've made their own postage stamps.

  • Nice one Chevy!!

  • Such a warm person, Chevy with that kid.

  • yeah tuvans are turkic speaking people.but their culture is mongolic no doubt.

  • wow amazing ,,,

  • I love Ondar!

  • Tyva is a region, not a country..... ))) amazing singing...))

  • Si pasa por la calle voy a creer que es un afilador!! o un heladero!! AFFILADOOOOOR!

    PALITO BOMBON HELADOOOOO!

  • Chevy's response makes it all the funnier!

  • I've got one question: how ? O.o

  • i don't see "wykop kurwa" comments :o

  • that melody is magic...

  • 1:35 - he becomes a Shpongle-man !

  • This is the most adorable kid I have ever seen.

  • Wow, what a lovely people.

  • amazing!! another tribe in africa also has something like that. Human cultures!!!

  • xaxaxxaaa

  • its almost creepy how gaga Chevy was for Bady.

  • "Sprechen Sie deutsch?" :D WTF?

  • did he say sh** and the end of the singing?

  • No, he said "чудо" ("chudo") which is Russian for "amazing, marvellous".

  • No, he said "sprechen sie deutsch" at 6:38...

  • AMAZING CULTURE!!!!

  • You know what's probably really awkward? Bringing up the Chevy Chase show to Chevy Chase.

  • probably they tinhk same about us

  • I'd love to wear those clothes all day. Looks so comfortable.

  • Adorable. And Kongar is just awesome.

  • just amazing people

  • Ondar means leader at turkish. i love Tuva they are a the asian "indians"

  • spekkin ze deutch, lmao!

  • i want their hats :D

  • Wow....this segment was so groundbreaking, it's ridiculous. The Western world had never seen anything like this before. And the young boy I'm sure had never seen a baseball cap before.

  • Bwahahah!!!!

  • wow he's so joyful singing its awesome

  • man .... I am, Celt, i like this music, amazing stuff......

  • woo like just recently?

  • TUVA!!!

  • Kongar-ol's beautiful face never ceases to amaze me. I have heard throat singers that I like a little better, but none whose face shows such peace, compassion and happiness.

  • so true. check aa-shuu dekei-oo with bela fleck, just after they finish the show... he is such a peaceful and happy person its unbelievable

  • I think very much the same thing when I see his face. He looks like a peaceful, smiling Buddha.

  • Молодцы!!!

  • I love this people also amazing

  • A nem éppen hagyományőrző magyarok ezt már 1000 éve elfelejtették.

that lil boy got a kiss on his forehead..... did anyone else see that too? and that reaction of the kid was cute

  • Love these people..i can recommend the movie Ghenghis bleus..

  • csuda!

  • Comment removed

  • epic win :D

  • 2:08 his face: PRICELESS

  • The adult, not the kid....

  • I saw this guy in a Bella Fleck concert once. He can sing in 3 tones at the same time! Crazy...

  • Not impossible. Just very hard.

It took me a long time to teach myself what I know, and I still can't do it very loudly or for very long, because it tears up my voice. But I do know the basics of khoomei, sygyt and kargyraa.

Kargyraa's pretty easy - the shapes you need to form with your mouth to hit certain notes are easier to make.

  • Отличненько!)

  • cute boy! continuing Mongolian tradition (tuva is one of the mongol ethnic groups)

  • It is not mongolian ethnic group, you should brush up your knowledge of history nefore making statements like that lol

  • They are proud to continue the Mongolian traditions (they wear Mongolian traditional dress,"deel" and hat, and they have Mongolian names, spelled in the local dialect), even they live in Russia. in Mongolia, the name is spelled Knongor or Hongor, and the other - as "Ondor"(sometimes transcribed as "Undur"). They are not turkic, even there's a very ancient relation with them. (Shude888, I advise you to visit Mongolia or learn the Mongolian culture (music, language, poem, etc. That is what I did).

  • Еха !Браво на малкия !Bravo !

  • omg.. that kid is so cute =D xD

  • li'l baritone, so precious

  • Chevy's reaction is PRICELESS!

  • Nah, it's just ignorant.

  • I think we can forgive him being caught off-guard. I know I was when I first heard khoomei.

  • Cute mongolian boy !Nice !

  • Tuvans are Turkic <.<

  • This child is so sweet really. Sometimes to be Arianic or Altaic is nothing. So everytime is nothing.

  • What a cute child.

Also wonderful throat singing by his teacher.

    5*****

  • Go Buddy, I love it!

  • Go Kongar-ol!!!

  • oh woah.. just noticed they speak russian

  • Actually, they speak Tuvan.

  • Yes, they speak Tuvan, but they also speak Russian, and in this interview, they are speaking Russian. At 1:09 you can clearly hear the translator say "Его зовут Бады".

  • love the alphabet switch

  • My Cyrillic's a little rusty. Is that pronounced "Ego zobut Badi?"

  • Ahh, I'm sorry. Since I don't speak either, nor have had learning in either language, I was assuming from context that it was Tuvan. My mistake.

  • tuvan is a turic language is similar to all other turkish language

  • a month before i was born!!!!!!!!!

  • also weerdbeard could not have summarized better.

  • Anyone hear that cracking noise? it happens here and there while he "whistles". Its happened in most the videos ive seen of him in an american thatre, as if the mic is crackling from the pitch. just found that odd.

  • sounds like a scottish bag pipe

  • whoa chevy chase had a tv show?

  • HAD, if you blinked you missed it.

  • Born and raised here in the Big NYC, we become desensitized to anything new...we've seen and done it all. This boy and teacher(father??) are so refreshing to see and enchanting to hear. I truly forgot how beautiful the world is and how small is our existence in. Thank you.

  • Heh, Chevy Chase...

  • Wonderful , the boy's name would be Batdorj in Khalkha Dialect (Altay>>Turco-Mongol). It's so nice that his parents taught him the Tuvan (Altay>>Turco-Mongol) Dialect, rather than the Russian Language. Such a cool kid.

  • During the VI & VIII centuries the territory of Tuva was a part of the Turkish Khaganate. Even now one can see funeral monuments and stone statues of noble warriors which remain from that time. Also during that time period appeared the ancient Turkish script. In Tuva are stone monuments located with Orhon-Yenisey runic inscriptions

  • The Sayan & Altai upland can be considered the cradle of the Turkish, Mongolian Tungus, Manchu and Ket speaking people. Important periods of the formation of the Scythian animal style art took place here.

  • Do not forget Koreans and Japanese.

  • Scythians were Iranian, not Altaic.

  • Hi from the Turks of Turkiye to the Turks of Tuva

    Turk halklari usiyn janimiz gurban

  • Man! this guy is amazing!!!

  • lol amazing. how the hell does i do that with his throat:P?

  • they Tuvans were fantastic, chevy chase was an embarrassment, god not mystery why his show was canceled

  • This was when Kongar-ool and Bady were in New York in 1993 for a guest spot in a Kitaro Concert. The concert was broadcast on Japanise TV.

  • I am so happy to see confident young man growing up. Preserve your culture and language. Don't let russians swallow your culture and destroy in russain vodka culture

  • We are so proud of you guys!

    Because we are mongolians.

  • Didn't know he even had a show.

  • this video is very very good!!!

Kongar-ol Ondar and your baby Dhorzhu Ondar

    Pitikity is beautifull!!

    Thankyu for much...

    yeah

    ^^

  • "Tuva is a country located between Siberia and Mongolia"

Tuva and Siberia are parts of Russia :))))

    The interpreter was discusting!!!

  • I see, Russians colonize Tuva. don't they?

  • Yes, that's true. Like Indians in US. But there were no reservations in Russia. And culture is preserved, as you can see.

  • chevy is talking like a child molester though.

  • yeah kinda, sure (hope) he didn't mean it

  • true he wants to kiss him and hug him and all that ahahha

  • I 'am portuguese and I never saw this show (i only see jay leno conan obrien and jimmy)

Why are you saing that is he a pedofilie?

  • no kidding, on the Chevy Chase show?

  • I'm not sure which suprized me more... the throat singer or the fact that Chevy had his own show. I love Chevy, but when/how did I miss this?

  • This dude is the master....I adore him.

  • aww, the little one is soooo cuuute! hehe, he even gave his hat to that guy <3 sweet.

school choir in america should start teaching their kids throat singing too.

  • Wow this is amazing...just trying to understand the mechanics of what is going on when they start to sing is something else. thanx to put this up

  • That's cool!! I just knew the performance on David Letterman's Late Show. I didn't know that he was on TV even 6 years ago!!!

  • I didn't know Chevy had a show...Ondar is amazing!

  • Oh yeah, that little kid is one of the singers of Alash. Just type it on the search engine and you'll see some of their vids on youtube. Guess who he is???

  • What an adorable little throat singer! Andy a teacher with a sunny temperament. Thank you for sharing!
