I was looking to do my floors so I got the guide from the isle where the product is sold and in there it states "Stain reacts with minerals present in your concrete" and show the various colors Tan can turn out and red is one of the colors it shows it might turn out.
Stain was left to dry per instructions. Then, it was neutralized with mixture of baking soda and water. And trust me, the end result color is nowhere near the color on the bottle.
You can use Rust-oleum concrete stain and spray on lighter colors in layers and it will soften the first color .Use a sprayer to add layers. I think it really looks great as a base coat. And can be easily fixed.
did you let the stain dry and then neutralize it after? looks more like application error than product failure. maybe you should have hired this one out to a contractor.
