We used to do 2000 searches per day on Google; but it locks up PC devices and Android devices - full duplex applications are notorious for doing this. White screen, lock-up my keyboard, frozen PC, and searches that take 60 seconds or longer to even enter.
When I tried to use Google Maps - it would not allow me to enter the correct address. I was at a Google focus group last night; they aren't even sensitive to the widespread outrage because of this. Amazing. complete.
google instant was pretty bad and i got pissed when it came out but now their is something even worse than that on chrome. the google website has this stupid navigation thing where you hover to get images, search, translate, map, etc. and it sucks. I want to know if their is a way to disable it and get the original google homepage for the chrome, because this new one is horrible
Love it. A fun part of it is seeing the list of possibilities from just the first word I typed. It helps refine what I want, suggests alternate search words that go along with what I started typing. Just love it.

Instant Search is more of a headache than a help, especially when it "autocorrects" what I'm typing while I'm typing (going to preferences to manually shut it off didn't work for me). There were so many times that I had to go back and undo the autocorrect, because Google either thinks it can read my mind or assumes its suggestions are far more interesting than what I was trying to search for. I don't like having to fight with my search engine over getting to point A from point B. Slows me down.

to turn it off click on the triangle next to the word "search" search should be right next to the google toolbar on the right of it. click manage. then click general and uncheck google instant. now its of :D it hasn automaticly turned back on for me hopefully it wont

Thanks to this new function, my screen read "there's no such word as 'notifica', asshole" before I could finish typing the word "notification". As lazy as I can sometimes be, I am never so lazy that I can't press the Enter button when I want to search something. I am also never too lazy to spend twenty seconds disabling this shit for a search that would otherwise take two seconds.

Has anyone else noticed that you can no longer get results that aren't related to pop culture or recent news/social media? Believe it or not, Fuckle, I mean Google, some people want to search for something related to subject matter other than American Idol, Kanye West, conspiracy theories and shitty movies.

Google Instant would be kind of good if it actually worked. For now, it just makes my searches slower by trying to finish my queries for me, mid-sentence, with -10000000% accuracy. How the fuck does Google Instant get "Banana Republic" from "Bisexual milfs?"

Thanks to this new function, my screen read "there's no such word as 'notifica', asshole" before I could finish typing the word "notification". As lazy as I can sometimes be, I am never so lazy that I can't press the Enter button when I want to search something. I am also never too lazy to spend twenty seconds disabling this shit for a search that would otherwise take two seconds.

after using it for 1 month and being annoyed everytime i used search, i just found out how to turn off 'google instant'. i didnt know i could turn it off, i just thought it was the new format. i never asked for 'google instant' so DO NOT make it default setting! it sucks ass!!! i would rather use altavista, yahoo or other engines if i had to put up with the google instant piece of bird poop!

Google, think it over... I know u spent a lot of time programming this stuff, but it's actually more annoying than good, you can see by the most voted posts up there. If you really wanna keep it, do it so the user must activate it's function first. By making it automatically on, a lot of lame users will get annoyed and won't know how to fix it, so they gonna move on to another site...like... bing?
