You suggest that corporations will pass any tax on to the consumer. That's a misconception. Businesses cannot pass the full tax on to the consumer if the consumer isn't willing to pay it. Today the consumer's inability to pay more will influence corporate pricing much more than an increased tax. And if corporations want to raise their prices to accommodate the full tax then they are free to do it. They'll drive up their supply and lower the price of their goods in the long run.

If you raise corporation tax then either the Shareholders, Employees or Customers pay for it. There is no other way. So it is best to be honest, drop the corporation tax and decide if it is a consumption tax, employee tax, or a shareholder tax instead of hiding it behind tax break for people.

Corporations are, to a great extent, granted the rights that individuals enjoy under US law (this idea was reckognized by the Supreme Court in 1819). But do general voters understand this? No way. We think wtf? Also, people feel deeply slighted that their small businesses failed while major corporations were bailed out. Additionally, major corporations get most attention by laying off US workers and exporting jobs. I don't think this is the election to come out swinging for the corporate dollar.

I support Ron Paul 100% but Romney was right on this subject. He was talking about the tax policy. You cannot raise taxes on corporations because corporations don't pay taxes! Only people pay taxes. If you raise corporation tax then either the Shareholders, Employees or Customers pay for it. There is no other way. So it is best to be honest, drop the corporation tax and decide if it is a consumption tax, employee tax, or a shareholder tax instead of hiding it behind tax break for people.

Thanks to liberal policy the world economy is crashing. We must do two things to stop the meltdown NOW!!! Firstly, we need to raise all payroll taxes 10% for one year. We also need to stop (right now) wasteful handout programs like medicare, social security, unemployment,, etc. and lower the minimum wage to $2/hr so we can compete with China. It frightens me to say that the more I hear from Ron Paul, the more he makes sense. As a hard left Democrat for over 40 years, it is hard for me to say this but I hope Ron Paul secures the GOP nomination. It is refreshing to see a candidate who can actually ANSWER a question and be consistent. Much luck to Ron Paul and ALL his supporters - you have one helluva candidate!!

@TheWanderinSoul Most people don't understand that it's because the government and big business are both in cahoots, the federal reserve is run by private bankers. Our politicians are forced to take interest in special interest groups (corporations) because corporations can anonymously spend as much as they want on a campaign . They don't understand that a lot of our politicians own or are related to owners of defense contractors/oil companies/Big Pharmaceuticals etc...

@TheWanderinSoul It's scary, America has a huge problem with self-education. Unfortunately I have seen this with even a lot of Ron Paul supporters who will talk about Ron Paul and say then go off on these stupid things like increasing government spending during times of recession. Nobody wants a bad spender spending more money in a time of recession. Especially when that spender is buying houses and mortgages with our money that none of us will ever receive. It's a fame game.

@TheWanderinSoul In a more educated world I would hope the opposite. I really reserve my opinion as we haven't ever truly tested capitalism without government control. Obama was like any other Dem, not being a Dem and looking after the special interests of his friends. The thing that sucks is that consumers cannot be trusted. Look at Asia and the labor conditions that still go on there. I think advancements in technology will solve a lot of these issues though but too long 4 ths

@TheWanderinSoul What's wrong with capitalism? having the right to earn a living and reinvest profits at your own discretion is the reason America has done so well for so many years. Government involvement in the economy is what causes problems. This is not my opinion, talk to an economist.
