Technically, you're correct in saying that's really auto tuned, but it's really messing with the rates to create the T Pain sound of tacky auto tuning that does that. Auto Tune was created, originally, to "bump" people into tune with the chords they're singing, when they're just BARELY out of tune. Then T Pain got ahold of it, messed with the retune speed, rate, onset delay, onset rate, variation, and amptitude and format amount, and popped out that robot sound. That's how it goes in Pro Tools.

I think this is by far the best remix. It's just so much more powerful than the original (in my opinion). When it's slowed down, it just seems more emotional and long, long, long, long just makes so much more sense. Love it.

i hear you, but in a sense both mixes are awesome... the faster one gives you a sense that the realization of the situation has given anthony motivation to get the ball moving again and start something new... this mix, on the other hand is more somber and reflective... like he still wants what has ended.
