Don't know how yall have done since yall made this video, but in a lot of east TX counties including the one your hunting in here turkey number are extremely low. Your best bet you be to try in Angelina National Forest or Caddo National grassland for Easterns, or LBJ National grasslands for Rio Grand wild turkey's...
Hey guys, I think its GREAT you tried out Turkey Hunting. Keep going!
Practice your calls more and compare them to them pros and recordings of real turkeys. Learn what calls turkeys make and WHY them make them. Scout the woods and locate turkeys and turkey roosts before the season opens. Then setup.
Being QUIET and STILL is 50% of a Turkey hunt. And please, please, please keep that box call shut with a rubber band or something until you have it in your hands ready to use the call properly.
I feel dumber after watching this. I cant believe you guys would put this on youtube. SERIOUSLY! Did you learn to hunt and call out of a cracker jack box? Thanks for waisting 5 mins of my life.
slate is easitest call and the most affective if u dont how to do a good mouth call haha and it seemed u used ur owl calll a little bit late in the day
I would have to agree with you. The calling was terrible but it was my first try at it. After a few hours we got bored and started acting silly. I think next time I will get an outfitter to help me learn the ropes.
a man you can learn the ropes by doing as little as reading a magizine/book or even watching a turkey hunting show... realtree has a series called turkey school check it
out... but the walking down the road hunting
thing was not verry good to see... one thing
a guide will tell you is dont talk/move so much when turkey hunting... good luck man
you will need it if you go out turkey hunting ageain...
