im not against the anger or this action against Quieda, or however you spell it. but i dont support the thought that says 'he deserves to die'. i mean, he was a son, a father, a husband. he was still a human being. i deserves respect like all other. yes, he did was wrong, but take a step back to think WHY he might have done this, or HOW this whole thing started in the first place. the first bush's invasion to iraq? who knows. im not against the anger, but im against that he deserved it

but that 38,000 is counting all the casualties including alqaeda mercenaries, etc.
basically its around 40 to 50 million per soldier
3.7 trillion to fight in all wars including iraq and afghanistan
so the true cost to kill osama bin hiding would be 1.29 trillion or you could say 3.7 trillion dollars
+ ~5000 troops

that is under the assumption that the only reason we are over there is to kill tailiban, you cant simply divide the number of dollars spent by the number of tailiban. we are over there more to help achieve a stronger government for the middle easter nations. i would say we spend only about 20% of our money over there trying to kill tailiban or alqueda or whatever. so that would mean about 10 million, which is still a crazy amount of money.
