The Goddess and The Jerk.... and the greatest Background Singers I've ever seen... :-) I once saw a Eurythmics concert in Frankfurt, when they were just starting to be big here ( = when "Touch" came out). To this day, that was the greatest live performance I have EVER seen! As the last encore, Annie sang an accapella version of "Sweet Dreams"...even the concrete walls had goose bumps!

Not many know that Annie had a lot of 'classical' upbringing. If you notice, a lot of her music is 'theater' and she also did a number of songs that cryptly put down the 'modern' theater of today. Also if you study history, many or most 'female' parts in the theater long ago were traditionally performed by 'men'...Annie is a smart lady and knows what she is doing...

Look at Cyndi Lauper-- no one would have thought twice had she stuffed plastic brocoli in her hair.
