WOW really really really cool! i have looked at many many bettas from the us and in thailand......never have i seen it in person! great post! not to pop your bubble but i saw an albino asian arowana i pooped my pants! Talk about beautiful rare and wanted! hahahaha
@HawaiiFighterBetta I wish I could visit Thailand one day. I know there are breeders there that have red eyed bettas that are breeding true. I am so jealous that you are visiting some of the best betta breeders in Thailand. I am very surprised that you have not seen any red eyed bettas in Thailand.... yet.
@3mmerz Not all albino bettas are blind. See my other video if you are interested in seeing her. The blind albino bettas that are kept in a group tend to wait for their food to land on the bottom of the tank and smell around for it. The blind albino bettas seem to be able to find their food easier in a bare bottom tank, and it is also easier to siphon. They require plants for cover. Blind albino bettas in captivity have a normal life span, but in the wild they would be easy prey.
So this is what they look like - wish they were able to see us. I'm glad you posted these videos! They are so sweet and are so beautiful. I love that you've shared our rare little "grandfish."
its albino if it is completely white lacking all color pigments and has red eyes

Hi, just wondering: If they're blind, how on earth do you feed them? Is that their only 'special need'? Do they live as long as normal bettas?
