world war I was alliance driven, you had your allies in France, England and Russia...plus Italy. Germany had their allies in Ottoman Empire and Austro-Hungary. Why would America take sides in a war on another continent when their own population had all of the above in theirs? america is full of English, Germans, Italians, etc......kind of hard to pick sides in a war when you have a variety of all countries in your own. WWII was different, we supplied materials and goods from the onset.

Canada is also full of english, germans, italians, immigrants from both allies & axis countries and yet they still managed to fight from the start in WWI. In WWII, the US decided to supply materials and goods from the onset so that they could feel good about not getting involved directly meaning with manpower which would have continued to happen if not for pearl.

Canada, like Jamaica, S Africa, Australia, etc is part of the Commonwealth of England, they HAD no choice in participating, England was at war. The US isn't part of the Commonwealth, they're a separate nation. They gave as much help to England as possible without full declaration of war on Germany. US was'nt allied with any nations at the onset of the war, so what excuse would they have to commit to it on either side? Even after Pearl it was Germany who declared war on the US.

they aim a distance in front of the plane so that the planes fly into the bullets, its the same with shooting a gun, if you are shooting from a distance at say a rabbit, you aim infront of the rabbit so the bullets gets to the rabbit instead of flying behind it because you aimed right at it.

So by using iiimft44 concept of thinking the bullets wouldn't be able to come out of the camber because the planes are moving to fast

This particular part(Battle of Britain) should be removed from movie as ONE BIG LIE over historical facts.

This Squadron was true foregin BUT IT WAS PURE POLISH 303 FIGHTER SQUADRON under British commands.

Honestly its not a first time when Americans try to rewrite history but fact is that during entire Battle of Britain there was NO SINGLE US PILOT present at the island.

This one episode was for me in off to scratch this movie as something worth watching...

I think my teacher said something that Japan knew that they had to use a surprise attack to try and cripple the U.S. fleet because the U.S. would have entered the war eventually anyway. How long after? I don't know, as you said as well. They probably didn't expect the U.S. to be so strong economically as well. I'm probably forgetting a lot of details but there were already tensions between Japan and the U.S. and perhaps they did decide too hastily.

The simple fact is, every Allied country that was involved in World War II played a vital role. Sure the Americans helped a lot, but they didn't win it all by themselves. Without the Canadians, British, French, and the rest, the war could not have turned out in the favor of the Allies. For example: Operation Overlord. The Americans captured 2 beaches, but without the British and Canadian forces securing the other three beaches, the operation would have failed miserably.
