Now the home prices are coming down, but the banks will not lend with the economic real estate and banking bust of 2007/2008 still affecting the markets.

The people who had been made homeless from the reasons put forth in this video are not able to gather the bank's required 30% down payments for the lower priced homes now on the market, and they most likely have had their credit ratings totally destroyed as well due to being homeless. The middle class also are now having these problems.

I would make the claim that Hawaiians hate other Polynesians because they have been successful in preserving their culture/roots. While at the same time coming to Hawaii and becoming competition, just like Micronesians, but, again, being able to protect their land i.e. roots. It's not about Hawaiians "loving" each other, it's about getting on the same mental length, so the people share some common conscious.
