  • What is the name of the song?

  • Do electric Dulcimers exist??

  • @Cheezybeatz Yes

  • @IrishCelticPrincess absolutely.

  • @IrishCelticPrincess just kidding.

  • i search for hammered baby and this is what i get.. sigh..

    well it sounds nice atleast.

  • So beautiful, I cry for my people and land.

  • wow you play it very very well!

(i dont like the sound that the sticks make though)

  • I came close to buying one of these at the Ohio Renaissance Festival, but the guy selling them was so busy flirting with a girl 30 years his junior that he couldn't see several customers waiting! I love the hammered dulcimer because of The Wheel of Time books by Robert Jordan. Maybe one of these days I actually will get one!

  • exactally how hard is it to play a dulcimer? I already play a few instruments, but i really want to expand my music knowledge and I REALLY love the medival/celtic type of music, which is saying alot since i'm 16... not many people my age love this type of music. :D

  • @Saphira4Christ I began learning how to play the hammered dulcimer at sixteen, it is difficult, but not too bad if you have experience with string instruments, I started out with a T K O'Brien 9/8; though any travel sized dulcimer is great.

  • its so cute!

    :3

  • wow, nice! Be fun to take on a trip!

  • I wonder what that piece is called? It's a lovely tune.

  • I love you! :))

  • They sell those in a department store near my home, except it comes with a pick instead of hammers.

  • This is so cute! I have a small harp, but now I feel the need for a small hammered dulcimer. Someday....

Great playing too, I had fun listening to this. You're very talented. Thank you for sharing your music!

  • lovely!

  • Great little instrument! I'll give one of those a go some day!! The tune is really nice too is it a traditional one or one of your own compositions? ;)

  • what song?

  • This smaller one has a different sound than the big one but wow! I'm so in love with this instrument! Once I save up enough money I will buy one... without a doubt!

  • i want 1

  • where can I by a travel dulcimer? I'm from Hungary. How much is it? Thanks.

  • that is so cool.ive never seen one of these before.

  • Is this the same as the travel dulcimer or is it smaller? Thanks

  • Yes this is The Travel Dulcimer Carol,

    Thanks for watching

    Love

    dizzi x

  • I simply only beautifully... find the sound of the instrument so wonderful.

  • you go girl!!!

    just love your playing.

    DR9.

  • I absolutely adore the percussive element with this dulcimer. And the little ditty is awesome too!

  • How much does it cost to ship a small dulcimer like this one? (to the US)

Also, how difficult is the dulcimer to learn. I have played the violin for about 7 years, would that make it any easier?

  • thanks for your message

i can send you one but if type craggy mountain music into google you can buy one there directly from the USA.

you should find the dulcimer easy to learn even without a musical background. X

  • WOW That's very nice of you to recommend that I save money at a sacrifice of your own profit :) I can tell that you care more about the art of playing the dulcimer than you care about making tons of money.

By the way, the song you play in this video is possibly the most entrancing thing I've ever heard and I watch this video over and over.

    :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

  • there is no beter combination then a beautiful instrument being played beautifully by a beautiful girl. 5/5 and added to my Favorites

  • £129.99 and is available on my website! X

  • Are there little sheets of music for this baby hammered dulcimer that one can place behind the strings for the absolute beginner?

  • I knew there were fairies at the bottom of the garden.

    Absolutly stunning.

    xx

  • "Now we make our own magic." -- Delenn, Babylon 5, "Into the Fire"

  • too bad the camera didn't let us see the rest of the garden like in the last video with the purple midevil dress. That was a beutiful setting.

  • What a beautiful sound. So nature-like, reminds of ice, dont ask why ;)

I´d love to produce those sounds myself, but I´m affraid the classical guitar is a very demanding mistress.

  • Sweet.. Thanks for sharing!!

  • Is this baby dulcimer something you had made for you or is there someone in the UK that makes them? I'd be very interested in having one.

  • Hi I am the only retailer in the UK for these Dulcimers i have put one on ebay and the item no is 330145450238

The id also loads more info about THe Dulcimer i sell on my website (the address is shown at the begining and end of the video) thanks Dizzi xXx

  • nice.. you have a nice garden!

  • At the begining it sounds like a cristal castle, then it sounds like a jungle, then it sounds like a quest, I would describe it as a Quest, some one departs from a cristal castle, then it rushes in to the jungle to find it selfe involved in another quest. It's a quest.

  • King David could drive the evil spirit from Saul

with that weapons grade sacred stuff

    the ONLY thing that could

    (so deft of hand)

  • The Hammer Dulcimer is slightly difficult...very hard to learn if you are not good with hearing certain things. It took me a long while to remember notes and how to hold everything just correctly. It is very enjoyable though and if you take interrest then go and try it.

  • Your pieces sound as if they were written by one composer. Is it you? wonderful, dear.

  • my thoughts exactly dizzi makes it look easy but i bet its hard to play

  • I wish I could play that. So beautiful!
