@djlastrina Yes I sold that e46 and bought ANOTHER e46, this time a 330ci in manual transmission. So far so good, LOTS of maintenance required But you gotta pay to play!

I agree that it is a safety procedure for it to change gears, but it still consider one of the few known weak points of the e46. The rear-subframe, the cooling system, and (if auto) the steptronic transmission. I'm a member of e46fanatics; there you will find many many articles and threads documenting the consistent historic failure of the infamous.

I used to have an e46 w/ automatic steptronic. Worst transmission EVER created. First of all, it's a GM made transmission. Secondly, the steptronic is misleading, it is pretty much 100% automatic even in step mode. And the WORST part was the transmission dying on you typically around 100k, if not just the Reverse dying on you. ALWAYS GET 3 pedals and 5 gears...no steptronic bullshit

I'm happy with my E46 330i, but the only performance mods are the Signature Motoring performance intake for about $160. Signature Motoring kit adds around 11.6HP on the dyno, great sound, and the best performance upgrade for the money.

It is a drop-in install done in about one and half beers and 30 minutes. Aside from the power gain, the best thing I like about it is the howling induction sound at high engine speeds but when driving normal, it is pretty much stock sounds.

dnt kno much about mercs but as far as i kno there is no such thing as clk amg65 or clk amg65 black series or clk65 amg dtm. it only came out in 55, and 63 amg...and you cant compare black series angainst m6 coz its black series is more focused like the CSL, i was talking about standard clk63 amg...and again 0-60 times ( i dnt kno any other figures for both these cars) m5 huricane beats the CLK GTR, so thers no point in arguing..
