  • It is TERRIFYING that there are SO MANY who are seeking the PILLAGE, PLUNDER and ENSLAVEMENT of their neighbors for their own benefit... and they can't wait to do it either!

How come so few have failed to offer better solutions than "public trough" options?

What about ceasing to subsidize the Medical Industrial Complex? What about releasing the citizenry from the monopoly of a select few to "practice" medicine?

Why are so many so EAGER to enslave their neighbor because they can't pay?

  • brockal,

correction, its not that they cant pay, its that they wont. we already have programs for people that cannot pay. its the able bodied demanding that other ablebodies work for them where the problem arises.

  • That's about 1000 people not ten thousand.

  • I was self-employed and had five employees in my business. Because of a "pre-existing condition" (my hypertension) the premiums for a $30K deductable catastrophic coverage plan were $750 - $1,000 a month. I couldn't afford coverage. One 5 day stay in the hospital for a staph infection in my knee cost $20,000. I was forced to let go my employees and liquidate my business to try to cover my health expenses. Small businesses in America NEED a Public Health Plan, and we need it NOW!

  • Maybe you should instead demand that America deport the illegal immigrants and other people who come to America. Run up a health bill and go back to their country without paying? But no, you would rather be an idiot and ask for a handout like the illegals. Show me one government run organization that turns a profit or is efficient and not corrupt?

  • "Thunderappee" - Are you also against Veterans Benefits?!?

  • I am sorry. I am sorry that the American ppl don't see that we need healthcare for all. They are self serving. It is no reason that any American should have to do without healthcare.

  • Every American over the age of 65 and Members of Congress are all enjoying the benefits of Socialized Medicine. Have you noticed that not one member of Congress who opposes Universal Health care because it is Socialized Medicine, has actually refused Socialized Medicine. Lets ask our Republican Members of Congress to reject their help benefits!

  • Have you noticed that not one member of congress said that they will take part in government health care? How about you stop being a hypocrite and ask *all* the members of congress to reject their health care? Idiot.

  • wtf u talking about.. how is it Socialized Medicine. You keep saying its Socialized Medicine but u never explain how it is.. this is what ret@rds republicans do.. they say its Socialized but they cant explain why is it..

  • John,

Congress is covered under the the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program. The FEHBP is not experiencing the severe financial problems faced by Medicare. It is run by a very small bureaucracy that, unlike Medicare's, does not try to set prices for doctors and hospitals. It offers choices of private plans to federal retirees (and active workers) that are unavailable in Medicare.

Democrats refused to drop their private insurance for the Public Option, not the Republicans.

  • I'm a news hound, and don't recall seeing any coverage of this on the news. What, did they have to bring teabags to get covered? I'm writing/complaining to media, maybe at least MSNBC will cover it.

  • Nice to see people out there, showing up to help make a difference.
