@armanifan10101 - it has also become the sign of arrogance and cruelty. people in my grandmother's generation didn't really know (or care) about the industry. now they know - and many still don't care. fuck em'.
She is an amazing woman of our time. She has guided pop culture in a way no one else could have. Watch the film closely. She is making moment to moment choices that effect all of us thru media images.
Like you say GoofyGoat, if Anna Wintour were a man, no one would bat an eyelid. A woman's usually labelled a b***h if she has to make fast and hard business decisions, which is a shame. Anna Wintour's got to where she is by being particular, and expecting excellence - something that shines through in "The September Issue" - see it if you can. I think she's great.
Artheate, the big guy's Andre Leon Talley - contributing editor for Vogue - he has a strange way of dressing, that's for sure.
@MikeyTTTT hmm just hitting on that general statement "A woman's usually labelled ... business decisions" I think that both male & female bosses can be b*tchy. That category of people are basically kids who don't know how to do things differently. Pictorially, that's equivalent to them driving a big fat car & ramming it through the traffic regardless of consequences. And people like myself don't find that acceptable and will inevitably say "what a b*tch!" It's got nothing to do with genders!
@MikeyTTTT Maybe to a point, however generally the term is more like "jerk" or "****ole" when referring to a man, but in Anna's case if she was a man people would probably just think "he" is a good but tough leader and a successful business "man". No one expects, for example, Donal Trump, to be "touchy-feely", but it is expected of Anna simply because she is a woman.
i think anna has to be tough, if she were a man, folks wouldn't notice the toughness and that's not fair in terms of sexism...she's running a major, world known magazine so she needs to stand by convictions. so what if she's not mushy and emotional? christ, get a spine and move on..
and wow... it looked like she didn't even try to hide the fact she didn't answer the question " do you like the movie "... talk about rambling on about something that wasn't asked
Say what you want but she is the bomb...she has some balls...and while she might be exiting Vogue...she is by far one of the most influential people in the industry...what a lot of common people wear is a direct result of her work and influence...
She's a fur wearing hag and there is really no need for it

Andre is ALWAYS dressed in some strange way or another. It's his signature to always be looking over-flamboyant and crazy.
