  • wat does a shorter barrel do to the gun?

  • @barneyknowshow It makes it very compact for a side-by-side, and I would assume it makes for a different shot pattern.

  • I shot this gun for the first time recently. My whole life, I disliked the look of the angled grip. I always thought it should have just sloped back, more like Mad Max's double barrel. After shooting it, I can say that it is actually very comfortable, and has minimal recoil. I even shot it one handed. Compared to the Serbu Super Shorty 12 gauge I shot right afterwards, this was a dream to shoot. The Serbu was more like something I want heavy gloves for...because it kicked like chuck norris.

  • I like the grip. That's the problem with some of the sawed off shotguns I've shot. The trigger guard tends to get pushed into your fingers but that grip would put the force of the recoil into the palm of your hand. Much easier to handle.

  • Do a shooting test please.

  • 23 dislikes are from the COD community taking the dual weild thing on this shotgun and having to go to the hospital after breaking their wrists and arms.

  • @mechaart Right!! Thank you. My friend shot this thing one handed and he said it was not that bad and he is not a large human being. People like to bitch on youtube. The 4th grader in most people comes out in youtube comments, and people certainly hate that which they do not understand. cracks me up how much attention this brief video gets.

  • I had 2 of these in 12 and the grips both broke

  • That might be the worst shotgun i've ever seen in my life. Why would you put the grip at a right angle?

    Stupid people...

  • @wtfdudenotcool101 This gun wasn't modified this is how it comes, so I guess you think that the manufacturer is stupid, I haven't shot it yet but the person that has says it shoots comfortably. I think its interesting that people either hate the crap out of this thing or think its the coolest shotgun they have seen.

  • @PapaGlock83 The two issues are that there is way too much weight put on the wrist because of the sharp angle as well as the force that is applied to the wrist when fired. Needs to be more of a sloped angle.

It sure is interesting but I personally think it's a really stupid design. Would venture to guess that's why Ithaca, the company that made them didn't sell that many.

This is a very old weapon BTW, this would explain it's strange design.

  • @wtfdudenotcool101

yeah you know better than ithaca arms, they only sold that thing for about forty years....

  • @slothscantswim They only made about 4,000. They sold 4000 in 40 years.

Makes my fucking point you stupid piece of shit. This is a terrible design.

  • Force a nature

  • Does it shoot both barrels with one pull of the one trigger? If so its "Technically" full auto(Full auto-one pull of the trigger two or more rounds).

why did your cop friend carry a 12 gauge short barrel shotgun? Were they out of desert eagles?

But seriously, I LOVE the coolness factor but it seems way to overboard, then again not its my life and i'm not protecting him so who am i to say what he can and cant use.

  • @dasdew2 Two pulls of the trigger. one pull shoots the left and another after it resets shoots the right. and its a 20 gauge not a 12 dude. it says right there in the title of the video. M16's are not considered full auto and they shoot 3 rounds with on pull. Im not possitive but pretty sure you don't need any special paperwork to own an m16, but u need a lot of money, they one at us autoweapons in scottsdale is listed at like 15 grand.

  • @PapaGlock83 sorry, forgot for a sec that it was 20(My brother has a pump Benelli in 20,smaller than 12 but it gets the job done )its just most short barrel shotguns are 12.

And by legal definition under the penal code(forgot witch section) that's the definition of full auto so the M16 does count,if you want a good copy a AR-15($500(Pawn shop/used)-1000(Gun store)-2000(high quality)) with a SSAR-15($350) sliding stock is a good replica for a fraction of the price and its legally NOT full auto

  • @dasdew2 Oh and a tax stamp(whatever that is)and a class3 licence for full auto, short barrel, and anything else you can have without it.

  • @PapaGlock83 Yes, you most definitely DO need special paper work from BATFE to own an M16 or any other NFA weapon (AND lots of money. Some states allow them some don't. By BATFE rules anything that fires more than one round with one pull of the trigger is a machine gun. It varies by state but paper work is required for machine guns, AOWs (any other weapons) DDs (destructive devices), SBRs (short barreled rfiles), etc.

  • @Soulrider2012 Thanks for clearing that up I wasn't sure but it makes sense.

  • LERROYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY JJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKIKIKIKIKIKIKIKIKIKIKIKIKIKIKIKIKINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • Looks like the super shot gun from Doom

  • The Auto Burglar is a smoothbore 20-ga pistol (some 410, 28 and 16 ga were made), not a sawed off shotgun. Many states prohibit shotguns under specific sizes, which includes the auto burglar. Federally, buying a tax-stamp for an AOW (any other weapon) makes one legal to own but only if your state allows it. The ones made 1921-25 used (obsolete) 20ga 2½" shells. Post 1925 use the 2¾" shells. The 10-12" barrels limit its effective range and power, making it excellent for CQB indoors or in autos.

  • The AutoBurglar was intended for defense when driving in the 1920's & 30's. Many cars didn't even have locks on the doors and running boards made it possible for a goons to jump up and into a TRUCK full of goods or a car slowing down for a turn or stop. Carried and deployed inside the car the Ithaca is frighteningly formidable. If used, the car owner has to shampoo the thug out of the upholstery. Bank guards and shop keepers adopted it against robbers. Rural folk used it for home defense too.

  • No the felt recoil is not bad at all on this. A twenty gauge is the right caliber. It was a manufactured gun and the grip is just right!

I carried a sawn off 12 for a number of years. Buck shot was punishing because the grip was just the left over from the sawn off stock. It would rock up and if you were holding it one handed you would be in danger of slapping yourself in the head. I shot some slugs out of it (because I am stupid). I did not need any stamp on it because it was for work.

  • ugly shotgun

  • prohibition era ithica? those things are sick have you shot the thing? i think they were outlawed in 1932 or there abouts. hopefuly they will let the ban on these expire some day

  • @losttrails87 My friend who owns it shot it and said it shoots pretty nice and doesn't kick to bad either. Its not outlawed or banned now as my friend owns this thing legally. I don't know why everyone is convinced this thing is illegal, lol I guess because of how it looks. Its classified as AOW - any other weapon, and I think a stamp is the only thing he had to get for it.

  • @PapaGlock83 I live in Minnesota, and they make the tax stamps pretty hard to get ive heard it can take up to a year to get a class 3 licence. I also know that it is much easier in other states.

  • YEAH BROKEN WRISTS ARE AWESOME! Now you can't shoot any more fucktard. The shooting world is laughing at these kind of people. The tacti"cool" lot of ya is the WORST though, they'll take a perfectly functional and beautiful firearm and turn it into a ricer with some japanese tactical kit slap on horse shit. LMAO

  • @phantomshtter what are you talking about? and who exactly are you trying to offend? Your saying that its stupid to put usefull shit on a firearm? I wouldn't like my home defense tool without a light mounted on it. I want to see who is coming in my house late at night before I do anything. Maybe I missread your rant.

  • @PapaGlock83 My comment reads perfectly clear. If you're word comprehension works properly that is.

  • @phantomshtter This video makes people mad and I don't understand why. I'm a fucktard? I didn't do or say anything that should make you resort to petty name calling, but do what makes you feel good about yourself.

  • Nice. The grip angle is not very good for wrist comfort.

20 gauge is no joke. I've shot deer with .20 gauge Brenneke slugs and it makes big, nasty holes in them.

I thought about getting a SxS 20gauge SBS, but ended up geting the Pedersoli 20 gauge Howdah pistol instead.

  • @RustyMusket70 Its been a long time since I fired a 20 gauge, to be honest I forgot what the recoil was like. I own 12 gauges only now. a mossberg 535 pump "my favorite", and a charles daily auto loader, "piece of crap".

  • Very valuable gun. I've been waiting for one of these vids.

  • That is cool as fuck

  • wtf were did you get the grip.

  • @FPSPugs It comes that way. Its kinda a rare piece

  • Is your friend mad max?:))))

  • Chill out fellas, lol this video makes people mad for some reason.

  • quite a rare piece. very nice. Perfectly legal in many jurisdictions with the right documentation... it is classed AOW and must have been registered... just right for its use as a close in self defense smooth bore pistol...

  • thats illegal in all states but Louisiana and its stupid and ineffective at anything but very close range

  • @nelsonofsteve10 It's perfectly legal is most states.

  • @nelsonofsteve10 I don't think any firearms are illegal in the US if you have the right permit. You're a moron.

  • @Mr13born79 what is it with you and insulting people right off that kinda proves some inmaturaty correcting a mistake i made was fine but now u just sounded like an asshole

  • @nelsonofsteve10 You're the one that threw your retarded comment out there for the world to read. My opinion of you is that you're a moron. If you can't deal with someone thinking you're a moron by your public activity, well...then I'm not the one who's having "inmaturaty" issues.

  • @nelsonofsteve10 And yes, it's ineffective at anything but very close range. It looks like that was the intent. Why is it stupid, though? Again, you're a moron.

  • @nelsonofsteve10 Louisiana? this thing is perfectly legal here. My friend that owns it is a retired cop and I know as a fact he has all of the legal paperwork for it.

  • called a sawed off. im not sure but i think a hacksaw can make one to.

  • 0:17 "Doom" Lol.. ^.^

  • "You can fit that in your jacket."

Good, now kids know what to shoot up their school with!

  • @edtheranger You're right! Now they just need to stamp the NFA process and pay the $5 tax stamp and wait the 3 - 6 months to have it come back approved and then they can shoot up a school! Yeah you're right! Now they can fire two rounds before being tackled and stopped!

  • @edtheranger Man, they been knew. Haven't you heard of Columbine? lol

  • @tuck234 Who hasn't heard of Columbine? I'm just trying to say something humorous other than a Chuck Norris joke. No offense but I had trouble understanding your comment at first, and if your primary language isn't English, don't bitch at me, I mean, how was I supposed to know?

  • @edtheranger Dude, I was humoring you. And yes I do speak english, bro. Understandable about the Chuck Norris jokes too.

  • @tuck234 cool

  • "You could fit that in your jacket."

Yeah, you could, but you're not going to, right?.....right?

  • hey how do you do that hilt ??

  • looks like it isn't legal here being so short, but i cant tell really.

  • doesnt look like an 18 inch barrel to me

  • god dam i want this gun !

  • lol lol yea that was preety cool lol.. In some states it's illegal

  • notice the cracked stock?

  • SHOOT IT!!

Just wondering, when he bought it did it have to be registered?

  • nah its only a 20 gauge

  • @PapaGlock83 It has just as much range as a 12 gauge

  • Sweet jesus. You'd break your wrist if you tried to fire that.

  • @jettan a 12 gauge, yes. A 20 gauge is managable.

  • @jettan JETTAN RULES >:D!!

  • @jettan Dude, it's a 20 gauge.

  • @JamesBayCree97 Still a terrible design.

  • @jettan Mmmm, I never even thought of the handle. It probably would break your wrist after all.

  • @jettan nah its pretty smooth I heard. 20 gauge isn't bad. my glock 27 is the snappiest thing I've shot for its size.

  • @jettan No, its not as bad as you think. Just let it 'roll' back when you shoot it....but not into your forehead. :)

  • @jettan No..I've seen a sawed off Mossberg 500 (12 Gauge) One handed and he was fine

  • imba !

  • Get a handgun.

  • combine it with bonk and recliamed metal and you have yoursef a soda popper

  • It would go good with a chuck norris beard

  • 8 gauge baby like from the Appaloosa movie. Thats a big shotty shell

  • chuck norris model

  • @windhamguam Chuck norris only uses -10 gauge shotguns.

  • he uses 1 gadge

  • This gun is from the days when this country wasnt run be scummy liberal jews.

  • @billplatinum6 Try saying that to an Israeli, they would knock out your remaining two teeth faster than you could pull your dick out of your cousin.

  • @earthwormjah Well its true, zionist jews are the reason the gun laws are so horrible in this country. And yes id wipe the illegal terrorist israel off the map :)

  • @NJPurling AOW tax is $5. This shotgun doesn't qualify for AOW, it would require a $200 SBR/SBS stamp.

  • Force a Nature

  • Its not ugly, it just diffrent and cool in my opinion

  • Grip is a bad desing

  • The grip looks disgusting. Sorry, dude, I don't care how rare that thing is. A guy with a dick on his forehead is a guinessbook case too, but I wouldn't like to be him either.

  • It looks like the grip has broken & been repaired at some point.

The perfect thing to keep under the counter in case someone tried to rob your store.

They were also promoted as a excellent choice for bank guards as well as within a vehicle or the home as the name suggests.

The earliest version was only chambered for 2 1/2 cartridges, its the one with the spur on the grip.

Hell, i'd happily pay the $200 tax 'cos it's a AOW.

A repro with the early style of grip would be fantastic.

  • I don't like the handle.

  • forsale? Id pay well

  • Id load that with road salt in a magnum shell, unload both barels and beat the f***out the burgalr

  • Damn that thing's ugly.

  • 7 people wanted one really bad

  • Make a shooting video

  • It pretty cool but those old double barrels are always so expensive i wish somebody made new double barreled shotguns cheap like a high point or sumthin lol that would be cool

  • Looks broken.... ugly!

  • I see these on gunbroker RARELY... Very cool

  • you could fit that thing in your jacket lmfao.

  • That must be a sexy gun for you to stare at it that long. lol Just kidding I give a thumps up

  • im ready for school.

  • now this is what we call Badass

  • Sweet looking shotgun! Looks like it'd be right at home in an old west saloon under a duster! Check my moss590 out on my page sometime

  • Pistol grip shotguns look cool but the reality is they can ruin your wrist! I think you should own one if you like but not me. Ironically the "bad guys" don't use guns like these!(Not unless it's 1920 or something?)

  • @jatamode if its under 26 inchs overall or has a barrel under 18.5 inches it has to get registered for some reason, i know i couldnt conceal a 25 inch shotgun

  • HEEEEELLLLLA KOOL

  • Only like 500 of these were ever made. this thing is a gem, even thow its kinda ugly.

  • @PapaGlock83 Nah...it doesnt look ugly it looks badass its like something hell man would be carying around!

  • @PapaGlock83 though

  • @PapaGlock83: I don't even know if "kinda ugly" covers it mate, haha.

  • @PapaGlock83 There are way more than 500 made, they were in production starting in the late 20's and ending mid 30's. I've got the '28 model B, the grip looks much nicer

  • Post a video when shooting it, would be nice.

  • "you could fit that in your coat"

    Not really

  • @saj12100 Those are illegal-- what is it anything smaller than 18 inches or so

  • haha sorry bystanders..

  • not very under cover

  • Looked great till I saw the grip..Looks like a pistol grip not a sawed off looking one..I sawed off one is where you saw off the handle right were the stock starts

  • That's sweet! saw a picture of it in a gun digest book of assault weapons I have it's an Ithaca auto buglar 20 gauge side by side it was made in the twenties it had a flap holster it was excellent for defense ,It was killed by 1934 firearms legislation nice collector firearm!

  • Who would do that to a stevens model 311

  • That shotgun is the bomb.

    Glock n Load,

    Mike

  • yeah, needs a better grip i'd say, looks uncomfortable to shoot like that

  • Love the concept, hate that rear grip.

  • idk if like the handle

  • nice. I'd prefer 20 gauge

  • Home deffence & Biker Self Deffence

  • These were made back when America wasn't run by tyrants.

  • It does look like a sawed off, Its much cooler thow : ) I think it looks like something a pirate would carry if they had cartrige shells and not flintlock pistols, it even has a ring on that ugly handle for somehting.

  • sawed off double barreled shot gun from call of duty world at war

  • 0:31 is that a dog sniffle :)

  • agreed, ugly dang handle

  • This gun can be owned with a 200 dollar stamp, a class 3 permit, and bunch of other things. Beautiful gun, with the exception of that fugly handle.

  • @igrungeisded ah the classic class 3 permit thats never gets old LOL

  • Is it registered as an aow?

  • @MrBigBearBrown yes it is AOW

  • Right!! this must have been "back in the day" when he carried that badboy : )

  • Just being able to have one of these is inspiring me to be a police officer. Oh and the serving justice thing, yeah that too haha!

  • thats the idea!!

  • The owners has all of the right paperwork, so its not illegal for him. He also has a remington 870 that has a pistol grip pump action and is about a foot long.

  • The only thing that sucks is that if someone broke into your house and you shot them with that gun then you would go away for a long time. There extremely illegal.

  • @3eightsstrong in Canada yes in america no

  • @axpxoxlxlxo Eh, it would have to be registered as restricted. Put a full stock (or folding) on it it would be NR
