I am glad you mentioned Egypt. What is not there any more (but was many, many years ago)? Water! Now, there is just dry desert. Whole back side of the bill is somewhat dark, and not pleasant.
On the other hand, front of the bill is light, with lot of plants... And even picture of Washington is inside sort of well or source of water (pot?).

@SodiNidoS Oh and btw I forgot to add; When they changed the one dollar bill into it's current design they used the design Pierre Eugene du Simitiere's did back in 1776 when he designed the Great Seal of the United States which explains the roman numbers and which also explains the 13 steps on the pyramid, as there were 13 original states in 1776.
