  • OMG nash has eyes at the back of his head lol

  • STEVE NASH!

  • y didnt they get steve nash

  • should have had an asian

  • Of all the crazy shit Corey Maggette could do for you on Sports Science, they have him doing a reaction time drill?

  • Lightyear describes DISTANCE.

  • @7RIM7 as in it would take 1 year going lightspeed, its a form of distance, and some time, but more distance.

  • wtf ONE LIGHT YEAR?!!? this test is wack

  • black and whitee

  • Comment removed

  • lol in what world is corey maggette a "superstar"? hahahaha

  • OldSport85 m.sn in profile

  • jaja 1:03 new cutting edge technology = touch xD jajaa

  • how tall are you ?

    is 5'10 good for basketball?

  • @TheLeilisa 6'4 and No

  • @BoierMofleasiVoda i need a couple of inches more. There is this product called" helpo growth formula" it works for me.

  • Guys, i have tried everything and found some

useful ways to grow taller. Email me.

  • it is not about who is faster, they are testing the reactions - who sees the light first and starts moving on that side, who has faster reactions and sees on the side... so it's no matter are you fast or you have fast footspeed... they proved that maggette has better reaction than the average person

  • they shoulda brought in Jason Kidd

  • That was dumb. Maybe it was that Corey was faster, but he was stomping a lot before he changed directon.

  • Shouldve been Jason Kidd up there

  • @Falsal ur fucking retarded

  • lets not call corey magette a superstar again

  • reaction time?? please.... your average joe will win every time? why? because we play VIDEO GAMES! and if you play shooting video games then you know you only have 1/10 of a second before the other guy kills you.

  • @faisal437 literally LOL-ed.

  • @karinalaughed haha?

  • Nigga vs. Cracka

  • Corey Maggete isnt a superstar

  • Corey Maggette average NBA superstar?...... ye rit...

  • racing drivers have the best reaction times period.

  • i thought swimmers have some of the best reaction time correct me if im wrong

  • @HlgTheJabb3rw0ck as in to the other episodes like the one with jerry rice

  • what do swimmers have to react to other than the water?

  • @SuperiorSwagon1 they have to be able to start as in as soon as they hear the gun shot they jump way before the average joe

  • ahh didn't think about that. Thx

  • @HlgTheJabb3rw0ck Track athletes and martial artist have better reaction time

  • Nash has better peripheral vision cuz his eyes are nearly a full meter apart >>

  • i like this show, but they can't seem to get real guys to make real test, i mean they brought jordan farmar for hangtime test??!! farmar is not bad but there are real highflyers around...and now maggette testing point guard skills..weird

  • Why would Corey Magette have peripheral vision? All he seems to see is the hoop. They should ask a good point guard or some old retired guy like Magic Johnson, John Stockton, etc.

  • that means steve nash is like.. unhuman..

  • maybe the average joe, in this case john, is just slow..? as in.. moves slower..

  • yeah, i mean there's no doubt magette can stop on a dime and move left or right way faster then the average person. Partially because his footspeed is faster, partially because his balance is better.

  • Its not all reaction time. They see the players with them as they come down the court and because of player chemistry they know how that player will act as he gets to the basket. You don't always need to see the other player to know where he is on the court.

  • it has nothing to do with periferal vision...its about drawing two defenders and knowing where the open man is gonna be

  • fraction of second = 1 light year

  • light year is distance

  • i think i was mocking the video i.e. how they labeled the 6 ft b/t corey and that guy to be literally one light year. i really don't like this show...

  • lol alright. That part was pretty stupid.

  • this is crazy. the thing about their being 2 feet of seperation - pretty sure its because they weren't dead even since maggette can probably run 10 steps a lot faster than the other guy.

  • Not really agree with that vid lol

Because it's something that Nash got it's experience lol

He "knew" or better felt when a player is at some point or not... Practice and game time....

    Not better eye vision

  • average superstar... if he meant what he meant then LOL

  • nash kickes ass

  • What the heck is he talking about when he says 'that fraction of a second equals one light year'??.. Does he even know what a light year is?? It's not even a unit of time!

  • a light year is a measurement of distance rite?

  • why is the video so laggy

  • u gotta see corey is 6ft 6inch. Joe is prolly way under 6ft. corey is more physically built to make quick moves ya. so hmm!!

  • corey got owned

  • that is true it would be bad tv and its not really related to the sport. Yes they are trying to show that they have better reaction time them most, but showing it on the court you get a better idea of how it happens during a game....

  • By testing reaction time with an athletic activity, they failed to eliminate a significant confounding variable. If they both knew AHEAD OF TIME the direction they were supposed to cut, Maggette could easily have gotten the same edge or better simply by virtue of being an elite athlete. A non-athletic task, like pushing a button held in either the left or right hand would have allowed better effect isolation. Bad TV, but better science :)

  • Bad TV? More like Awesome TV! Working title for new show: "So You Think You Can Push?"

  • Ya isn't he faster than the average joe? he should be

  • This is so retarded on so many levels. Most importantly, why use Corey Maggette for a peripheral vision test? Use someone who actually passes the ball and is known for court vision. Maggette is known for having no vision and shooting every time he gets the ball.

  • Using someone known for court-vision would be redundant. Maggette (not known for passing) shows that he still has better peripheral vision than your average joe. That seems obvious, but they break it down into quantifiable proof.

  • the commentator always mis-introduce the nba players in those episodes. NBA star mobley? not anymore. average "ALL-STAR" Maggette??? theres not AVERAGE ALL STAR. just LOL.

  • About Corey Maggette, he says average superstar, not average all-star. And how is Cuttino Mobley not an NBA star? He makes millions of dollars playing professionally basketball in the NBA. The fact you know who who he is proves he's still a star.

  • he needs to make an allstar game to b an allstar... also Superstar>Allstar and Corey is no Superstar

  • Superstar is a subjective term. But I hope you didn't think I was arguing Maggette is a superstar because, IMO, he isn't. And he hasn't made an All-Star team, so by definition he is not an All-Star either. The announcer could have just called him a professional basketball player, which is an objective and verifiable statement.

  • Well he isn't a scrub, he is one of the elite scorers in the league, a starter(well he's 6th man this year but basically a starter). Basis enough to call him a superstar to the general public I'd say...if you're an actual NBA fan or player or coach though you'd probably just reserve that for guys like Nash, Wade, whoever but it's no big deal.

  • I see you're point. To the average person, Corey Maggette is a bona fide NBA superstar (he's certainly paid like one, despite coming off the bench).

But it would be funny if lesser players were introduced as scrubs: Here to demonstrate this experiment, please welcome NBA scrub Alex Acker...

  • Well he's in the NBA... and you're not.

  • Clearly.... whats ur point... hes still not an allstar...

  • Different people have different views. My take is that he made the NBA to begin with. Therefore, he's a basketball all-star. He just hasn't made it to an NBA All-star team.

  • Making the NBA means ur a proffesional athlete or a basketball player.... but sure I guess it is opinionated cuz some people think 1 player is better than another

  • Corey Maggete ... NBA superstar?

  • use to be

  • never has been. Superstars are Kobe, Lebron, Duncan, etc. Those are superstars. Maggete hasn't even been an all star.

  • they should have also done it with other types of athletes. Like a quarterback or running back

  • this is a bad test. u cant really tell who has the better reaction time because correy maggette is simply fast than that white guy john.

  • faster*

  • @gordoben13 you dumbass it doesn't depend on skin. cuz if you think the skin determines reaction then Yao supposed to have the best reaction cuz Asians have the best reaction.

  • lol retarded video imo

  • do they keep in mind...that most pro athletes are more athletic than your average joe...so they can run faster and it may have nothing to do with reaction time...

  • @ilnas yep add 20, 30 pounds of muscle to that regulars decrease 5- 10% fat, it's transit to elite.

  • @ilnas That distance is so small that it is pretty good mesurement for reactions. And they mesures just that reaction situation.

  • Steve Nash is also crosseyed (to the outside). That gives some extra degrees

  • lol

  • Great vid! Corey & Steve mean business!!

  • coool..

  • omg only 1 comment? THat fucked. Ill give you 5 Stars. great video

  • interesting
