@flyingxk one can demonstrate the results of the coriolis effect on a tub-drainage sytem, but it must be very large, time consuming, and controlled. Any other effects or forces acting on the water will always easily overpower any coriolis effect. Toilets rotate the direction the manufacturer designed them to rotate.
I quess you are unintelligent because in low pressure weather system or tub drain system it is:
@peermarck FOR YOUR information its an FAA question for navigators...."if you are lost ,how you determine which half of the planet are you?.....flush the toilet or the sink or whatever"
I actually worked this out in an upper-level physics course at my college. If I remember right, the Coriolis force has (VERY roughly) about as much effect as the Brownian motion of the water molecules. In other words, the Coriolis force has no effect only in theory, and never in practice.
the coriolis effect has no bearing on toilets. thats a myth. the design of the toilet and the direction of the jet is what determines the spin direction.
ONLY INTELLIGENT PPL KNOW THIS...

@tampicokeed hey paps, shit happens, so that your intelligence appears.....,my typing error, check my artistic vid on the subject .
ps.i leave the shit to you, i'll make another vid demo using plant leafs

coriolis only happens with extremely large amounts of material, like giant seacurrents or airflows but totally not on that small quantities of water

Common misconception. Toilet flush direction is not caused by the coriolis effect.
darkdestroyer72 9 months ago
i asked my science techer this and he said no because a toilet isnt big enough to see it in and thats its just the way the toilets designed
jessecataylor 11 months ago
No this is not caused by coriolis, only vortex like effects

corioles effect is 100% true but only effects large body of waters

Exactly! Couldn't have said it better myself.

@ZekeVoltage
Yes many/most are forced in opposite direction to help reduce buildup, and stay clean longer.

Both toilets just go strait down, not in a circle.
