Hey I`ve got the Obi Wan figure on it`s original tri-logo card! I`ve only got two figures on there original cards so I`m surprised it might be rare. I could have given you a better picture if I`d have known.
good question. I don't really have a specific figure I collect. But I do get on little kicks where I collect nothing but figures for a while, or then vehicles, then playsets and so on until it cycles over again. oh and I also have the orange carded linebacker leia. it seems as though the whole potf2 line was on steriods. great show
Another great show. As for the QOTW, all vintage, but mainly Fett, Ree-Yees, Bossk, and the Ewoks. I only have three modern R2-KT (for what it was made for), the Animated Fett and the Star Wars Saga Collection Bossk. I might dive into all the figures that came with the coins.
I've always liked Luke from Return of the Jedi. That was one of my favorite figures as a kid and one of only two of my original figures I still have today. Also, it is a figure with lots of variations with sewn cap, snap cape, moulded head, blue lightsaber, green lightsaber, so it seems like a good choice. So far I have 4 loose vintage lukes, 1 in kenner baggie, two rotj carded, and an original kenner shipping box that had 96 vintage carded Luke Jedi figures. To bad it didn't come full :)
That's SO funny, because Princess Midori was telling me just the other day that she thought that the orange carded Leia looked like a "pissed off ape"! LMFAO!
We are SO glad to hear you guys saying this, because when we first decided to do a weekly SW show we really didn't know if anybody would watch it at all. Let alone LOOK FORWARD to it every week! LOL
I would also have to agree. Mondays are always the worst day of the week for me. I love coming home from work and unwinding by watching the show. Keep up the great work.
Added the new Ewok commercial from Spike as a video response. Someone else has the Darth Vader commercial up ( v=81fwEmP2CKY ) thats the end part of the link. Dont know if there are any others, but Im keeping an eye out.
Nice job, guys. Good to see Darth Beer back this week...AND nice to meet you Destiny!
I would say that my collecting emphasis would be the characters/playsets related to the Bespin scenes in ESB. Those scenes have always been my favorite from the saga.
This might sound weird, but if I see a Lobot figure for sale (vintage or new), I'll buy it. Not sure why, but I've always loved that character. The fact that he never spoke in ESB makes him really mysterious and cool.
So was Lobot human, part droid, or all droid? Never really been sure mahself. At first I thought human with a weird headset, but then I noticed at one point he was standing there with his eyes shut, but his eyes popped open when Lando contacted him, making him look very robotic.
According to starwars.wikia(dot)com, Lobot was born a human who underwent "cyborg augmentation" and his brain was linked to Cloud City's central computer.
I don't collect any particular character more than any other, I try to get complete sets to recreate scenes (eventually). I got a question about your Ben Kenobi giveaway figure. You say it's re-carded. What does that mean exactly? I gather it may have been opened and the packaging glued back together, but the figure you have there looks great, the packaging looks new. I'm a little confused...
It's a vintage figure that has been resealed on a replica cardback, so it's called a "recard". The figure IS original vintage, but the cardback is NOT. It still looks really nice on display, and at first glance it's VERY hard to tell from an original.
If you look at my other videos, you'll find a 3-part tutorial on recarding figures. You can also find a video of my personal collection of recarded SW figures. I'm in the process of collecting and recarding an entire vintage set.
the figure i focus on is chewbacca. im pretty sure i have almost every chewy figure released. but of course im missing a few

Cool series. Really digg the set, too.
It'd be cool to put the topic of the video in the title, for example, "VSWW - 12 Back Obi-Wan Kenobi"
rather than just "Episode 9", for if one was scanning through your videos and wanted to watch something specific.
Rock it!

I think this weeks question was a good one!
For my answer it would be
Luke Skywalker! He's been my favorite ever since I was little. Second would be Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker.

Yoda I love Yoda but now I want 2 start collecting more of my other fav character Han Solo
SnowwhiteprincessJ 3 years ago
While he wasn't one of my favorite characters in the movies, Yoda WAS one of my favorite figures to play with when I was a kid.
I thought he was really cool because he came with so many accessories..... a cloth robe, a belt, a cane, and a snake that hung on his neck.
I need to talk to Princess Midori about doing a give-away contest for a vintage Yoda figure. It's still one of my favorites to this day.

My guess would be that Lobot is a cyborg. Kind of like Robocop.
Lobot is mentioned a short story about EV-9D9 in the paperback, "Tales From Jabbas Palace".
The story begins in Bespin, and I remember Lobot having enhanced strength, and being able to listen in on communication channels with his headset.

Vintage ESB Hoth Battle figures, vehicles, etc. I have a lot of duplicates + from that part of the line. That was my favorite movie scene too =).

I don't really focus on any special figure, I just like to get a lot of stuff you see in the movies too.
