  • I love pelmeni with russian gam =)

  • Kinda disturbing how people make those vids how to eat -.- just shove it through ur throat...

  • omg that fat woman pronounced pelmeni wrong...what a shame...

  • @LittleGirlAlexa nope...

  • @TheRussianFever RUSSIANS ARE AWESOME!

  • In Soviet Russia, Pelmemi eats you!

  • ahahahahaha

  • she got it all wrong. you don't need vodka to go with pelmeni. you need pelmeni to go with vodka =)

  • In russia, the dumplings eat you

  • pelmeni dont go with any kind alcohol, a glass of milk is more like it

  • Woh...This is in Chicago, right? I saw this on my way to the art institute.. Begged my parents to take me:\

  • We went to a russian friend's place for lunch and she made it from scratch and very tasty. We had them with sour cream and some type of onion sauce.

  • MY BABUSKA MAKES THE BEST EVER!

  • I'm Russian, and I don't eat Pelmeni without vodka

I drink vodka every time! Even now I drink vodka. Tonight and tomorrow I'll be drinkin` vodka too.

    Vodka Power!

  • Shoot the vodka between!? NO! you gotta drink fresh milk goddamnit!

  • They girl is cheating... not hard to do them, also not a must to drink vodka with ---

  • T_T Only because someone likes getting drunk with their food, doesn't mean it meant to be that way. It's same thing with some ppl, drinking wine while eating. Don't mean you supposed to drink wine while eating that dish. And it's not hard. Just takes time.

  • She's ridiculous eating them while drinking vodka. She also said that dumplings were "very hard to make" ... and she's ASIAN!!! Go figure.

  • @DoctorEcks DoctorEcks go eat shit, there is a lots for you out there . She's being so unprofessional hosting a food show, but not because she's Asian , she cant do this

  • Sorry, i'm russian and I never ate pelmeni with vodka! That is a stereotype.

  • @RUSquad Yeah, that's ridiculous. She also said that dumplings were "very hard to make" ... and she's ASIAN!!! Go figure.

  • restaurants don't sell water; if you dine at an italian place they want you to have wine, a russian restaurant sells vodka.

  • ...i lived in russia for the first 20 years of my life and drank vodka with everything....i'd still drink it if my liver could take it.....i guess i'm inadequate and stereotypical

  • Very hard to make my ass. They are easy to make if you know how. all you need is dough and mince meat

  • Bullshit!

I mean, they are easy to make. ^,^

  • gonna make some right now ehehhehehehe

  • you certainly don't need vodka to enjoy Pelmeni !

  • @risk3715 I think it could be that vodka Is a vary popular alcoholic beverage there I dout it's drank that Much for you would be drunk after a plate of them

  • I lived in Russia for years. I think I only ate pelmeni once with vodka... Another American misconcept of life in Russia, I suppose.

  • hahahhahahha pelmeni with vodka ?? .. noone is eating pelmeni with vodak wtf ...

  • If I had a shot of vodka between each pelmen I eat, I'd be an alcoholic before I were 5 years old!

If you're served vodka to drink with pelmeni at American Russian restaurants that doesn't mean it is served elsewhere. Stop thinking Russians are alcoholics!!!

  • rubbish

  • this critic talks out of her ass

  • They are super easy to make... Clearly this was not made by a Russian. They are so easy its not even funny and those looked super gross at that restaurant.

  • They are not that hard to make actually..............

  • @pointeskatecybunny i agree, really only making the ingredients from scratch could be difficult.

  • I'll show you how to eat salmeni, Get on your knees beeotch!

  • I just spent the last 5 years in Ukraine, my Ukraine wife and I ate Pelmeni once a week and never once had Vodka with them.

  • pelmeni whit vodka GROSS!!!!

  • @SirLenz Sour cream a must! But, good with butter and bacon and fried onions too..Mmmmm

  • I mostly like to eat them with the bullion that they are made in with mayo and hot sause. If we dont have any then i eat them with sour cream and ketchup!

  • @devchonka18 oh man sour cream n ketchup yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • I EAT AND I FUCK !

    I AM A MACHINE !

  • You got to eat pelmeni with your hands, otherwise when you stab it with a fork, all the juices escape.

  • Thr Russian Tea Time restaurant is excellent. If you visit Chicago you must check it out. Everything on the menu is good.

  • ive never eaten pelmeny like that...i eat them with either ketchup or sour cream and parseley.....i found some packeged ones to give them a try but they tasted nasty!

  • @fern4ndo0 Hahaha..this is true. But you know how it is...us Slavs love bread and carbs! :D

  • @fern4ndo0 i agree

  • most of my relatives are born in russia and i've never seen someone who eats pelmeni like that :D

we always eat them with sourcreme and ketchup this is the best way =)

and by the way pelmeni are not hard to make xD

  • @Netty91 actually ketchup is really not the way to eat them u can have pelmeni with sour cream, but the main thing to have it with is butter, and most people add vinegar so its butter and vinegar

  • @Netty91 They are compared to final outcome.. and they're time consuming to make.

  • I had these at my Russian friends house I just dipped them in ketchup but I'm not russian so I don't know how your supposed to eat em. All the same they are tastey

  • im so happy i have my mom to make them for me. thank u mommy. love u =)

  • Stop eating pelmeny they came from China and they are turning into small angry chinese bustard suckers when you eat them inside of you.

  • u right

  • Pelmeni national Siberian meal.

In China they have appeared after Mongols.

  • If it is Russian you have to have vodka with it? Stupid and stereotypical! I never ate them with vodka and they taste great anyway. If it is Russian does not mean it comes with vodka.

  • Thank you for clearing this up, but some people just dont get it! I'm russian, and I never like vodka!! But maybe I better start drinking it, because i'm Russian:)

  • @edromanovich i know! i much prefer kvas.

  • @edromanovich Thats the way it usually comes. That does not mean that everyone eats it that way. Please learn.

  • @edromanovich You dont have to but lets face it, Russians do like Vodka with just about everything.

  • @edromanovich

Yeah, that's ridiculous. She also said that dumplings were "very hard to make" ... and she's ASIAN!!! Go figure.

  • Very hard to make? Bullshit! I'm Russian and my grandma and late grandpa used to make them at home all the time. All you need to do is get some dough, roll it out to make it flat like a pizza pie. Cut circles in dough, place piece of meat in the circle, and form them into the shape of your usual dumplings. Throw them in boiling water and wait for them to rise to the top, which is how you'll know they are done. You can even buy them pre-made and frozen in Russian food stores in Brooklyn, NY.

  • @PosholNahooy i think you should let them freeze over night as well, before boiling them

  • I really like the Russian culture and the dishes.. I like the Pelmeni and I strongly feel it is a russian dish.

  • Way to go harsimran311 !!!!

  • ! Have you ever heard of old Slavic language? This is where Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian languages take their roots. It is just ridiculous to say that Russian language is stolen and the Russians have no culture or cuisine. Really, open a book and read before making statements like this! I am not sure of origin of pelmeni as other countries ( China, Italy, ect) have similar dishes and it is not clear who invented them on the first place.

  • Take a HISTORY book and READ!

  • Yeah, I've been making them with my parents/grandparents/myself throughout my life. Maybe it just comes naturally to me because I'm Russian (would explain my high alcohol tolerance as well, lol).

  • Why don't you have a seat over there?? >:(

This vid is about RUSSIAN dumplings!!!

  • dumplings "pel'meni" is a Mari word!!!! It's a Mari traditional and national food!!!!

There are no any russian dumplings, because dumplings came from Mari people and because russian bynationality don't exist!

  • O'rly? >:O

And I am the Japhet's descendant, when there was no Mari civilization, but i didn't say, that you stole something from me or my people... it's ridiculous!

  • Agree with u 100% marjiworld.

  • Mmm, I love those! I had them once at a street fair, actually, and I've been looking for a recipe ever since! I'm so glad I found this video, because now at least I know what they are called!

  • Yeah I know! This bitch doesn't know what the hell she is talking about! Pelmeni is easy to make.. I make it with my mother all the time but it just takes a little longer than usual. Damnwhity is also right. She has a Jewish last name because she is a Russian Jew. Whats wrong with this dumbass reporter?

  • dude that owner lady has a fucking jewish last name. she doesnt know shit.

  • It did not come from Siberia it came from Kuban region

  • The Kuban pelmeni were with lamb.

    Siberian pelmeni are with pork..

Why did she say they are difficult to make? They are extremely easy to make just takes time.
