I've been trying all morning to connect an external microphone to my LifeCam Cinema. I thought your review might actually tell me how you connected your external microphone. It would have been so easy just to say how you did that. You didn't, making your review just about worthless to me.

I bet you're only happy with the hardware because you're using your expensive external mic (which sounds awesome by the way). The high-pitched whine produced in almost every other review of this webcam is unbearable.

Hi, I noticed that you're unable to change the default folder, where new videos are being stored.

Besides this, I noticed the sound to be out of sync.

I wish webcams came with an image stabilizer feature, cause it can hard to avoid shaking.

You can also record the audio with something like REAPER, and later add it to the video. (Using software like Sony Vegas, or even Windows Movie Maker ;)

The LifeCam Cinema only does 15 FPS at 1280x720. I found the image quality of this camera to be quite horrible. Buy the Logitech Orbit AF if you want image quality. It was far superior in terms of per pixel resolution (detail and clarity) as well as tonality and low light situations. The only problem is.. the Logitech only does 15 fps at 720, and thats 960x720... not 1280x720. I think the Logitech is a far better camera, but i do admit to liking the LifeCam's frame rate and build quality.

My Logitech QuickCam Pro for Notebook (960-000047) can capture true 1600x1200 with the newest SW. It has very clear picture, without jerky frames.

I agree with you the software leaves lots to be desired. They should have added the ability to select any microphone you want. How where you able to use your Microphone? I have been fighting with this thing for weeks.

I actually recorded the mic on a different computer (a nearby Mac). You'll need a linear editor of some sort, then just add the recorded mic's audio track into the mix. Line it up with the internal mic (so you get perfect lip-sync) and then mute the Lifecam's mic.

i already got pro 9000 u think it is better? i find only one thing good here the color looks bright and sharp and my pro 9000 color look wash out and its blur but when it come to 30fps i find same by seeing ur pic i feel its not doing 30fps can u conform me that would be nice help for me to go for it or not..
