Thant COA is the exact same COA as I have. Now I have learned what to look for and challenge everyone selling on Ebay to prove to me by sending a photo of the COA, and most don't. Something has to be done to stop this counterfeit marketing.
Fortunately I didnt pay that much. The Ebay price was around £50.00 as an auction but after informing the seller about his mistake ( if it was one ) he gave me a negotiated refund. And I paid just around 20.00.
The product key was useless but I thought I get this full version to upgrade to my genuine Windows Vista. Because I needed any full version to do that.
i got windows 7 from pirate bay and it works fine, update etc.. just like the real one, in fact the one on pirate bay i got is a retail copy, just uploaded :p
@MrKoolDom Wait until the updates after 3 months and then it will register as not genuine copy, then you will need a third party software to run the operation system.
You are mistake about Ingram Micro. They are a MASSIVE distributor of hardware and software, however they don't deal with end-users which is probably why you thought as you did.
I suspect the original model which was copied, was from Ingram Micro and that made it to the duplicates.
@YoutuJ3eJ3lows Sorry I'm totally lost on what part you mean :( ROM you meant but confused in where your comment matches to the comments or the video.
@DNMevolution Never used it to be honest so can't tell you buddy, but knowing others to buy this same software it works only for 3 months and then comes non genuine, by then the seller has disappeared or if not you can't claim your money back through paypal as the days or claiming would have expired.
You can download software to override the non genuine issue but then the software like the one in the video is more than likely full of viruses, so any counterfeit software you should avoid.
So I just bought Win 7 Ultimate on ebay and I can tell just from the photo on the auction that it has that yellow ingram micro stick on it (shoulda researched before paying I know). Seller has not shipped yet so I sent a message simply saying I changed my mind and just want to cancel the bid. If he does not agree to this what what are my option for getting a refund? Open a paypal dispute stating I suspect pirated software? I'm now in this mess, any advice?
@zozanday So true buddy, actually had the Ebayer who sold me the Windows 7 asking for it back, I called Ebay customer service and they told me not to send it back because he will sell it on to some other poor soul, the bit I don't get is why is Ebay still allowing the Ebayer to sell Windows software, baffles me.
@zozanday Agreed is a massive problem, there are millions are fake copies about and mostly are sold on Ebay, I-Offer and Amazon, did get my money back through Ebay and kept the software.
im pretty sure m8 could be wrong like, but if someone selse you fake stuff, you dont have to give it back to get ya money back, perhaps passing it on to trading standards, and claiming back of paypal may be more appropriate, id give him a lovely neg feedback too :) to get ya cash back first actually i would just go ahead and leave neg feedback, trust me he will message you asking to remove it if he refunds :) agree, get a refund and just dont remove it :) ive done that b4 :)
@paranorma1palace Cheers Vin for the info, will do so, just a pain dealing with this guy, he is actually selling others on his account, me leaving him neg feedback will damage his sales growth, still waiting on his refund he promised me this morning, get a feeling he is playing hard ball, will keep you posted on what happens.
i thought the real labels were holographic kinda thingy, bad luck m8, hope ya get ya money back, im intrigued to know if u installed it would it validate and get updates or not, theres a proggy u can use called windows loader that will make ur copy able to be get updates and become validated if need be, wouldnt surprise me if it was backdoored, before you know it your a zombie for lulsec :)
@paranorma1palace Gutted to have received this copy, said to the seller if I wanted a boot leg version I would use Pirate Bay and not pay the likes of him over a £100, the seller stated it would work but then after a while the windows update will detect it. There are tools like the one's you speak off Vin and they are effective, but was going to do a new PC build and wanted a genuine copy of Windows 7. Fighting him right now on the return of money, he wants the product back first cont:
@WillHayFan But I want my money back first as in truth he cant be trusted and it is a good forgery but not good enough for a eagle eye like me lol Some of the one's circulating do have the back door Trojans and that's why i would be reluctant to use a bent copy, ether of Ebay or pirate bay, not worth the risk.

Its too late for me!
I got scammed while getting one copy on EBAY too.
Fortunately I didnt pay that much. The Ebay price was around £50.00 as an auction but after informing the seller about his mistake ( if it was one ) he gave me a negotiated refund. And I paid just around 20.00.

Still it makes me mad that I got scammed...
