HAHAHA Ya very slow and off time indeed... It was the beginning to Vela, together we await the storm... It's funny how things like that happen... My old band did that all the time lol
@HappyRedDemonSkater It sort of seems like they did it on purpose, like to act as if they're not gonna be that good, but then bust out that god-like stuff.
This has to be an earlier version of Echelons I guess, cause it's not Echelons and Molotovs as it's recorded in Nocturne. I don't really like how they play the intro either, but these two facts really prove how good they did evolve, cause Vela has actually one of the most epic neck-breaking intros in the modern metal scene.
show with suicide silence, nathans 2nd show ever with us, back when we were local - it was our first time playing that intro to vela and the first time playing echelons live, super sloppy, and aj looked like mr van driesen from beavis and butthead hahaha
I was talking to nathan after their show, and i asked him what happened to winter fevers? and i dont really remember the answer haha. something about 6 or 7 months, and 2 song ideas put together.
this was nathans 2nd show with them, and although it doesnt look like it there were about 300 hundred people there at this show w/ suicide silence back in the day. oh ya kenny the old bassist is wearing a bunch of bandages on his head for no reason
haha i totally see what ryanandrewmartin is talking about with the move bitch get out the way thing. thanks man now i cant listen to this without getting that song stuck in my head haha.
The chorus to this song has the same rhythm as that Ludacris song that goes "move bitch, get out da way". I cant hear this song withtou singing Ludacris to it.
hahahaha oh man do i remember this show. quick note for all you fans, this was Nathan's first ever show with them. That bassist is Kenny who is on the record but then left the band. Henry their sub bassist for the tours is in this video right next to AJ on the side stage. And yes, this song is what is now known as the intro for Vela with the mix of Echelons to Molotovs but at that time 2 months before the record was writen they were called song 12 and 13...haha
Well...ive listened a little closer...and i've come to the conclusion that this song is a mix of Vela, together we await the storm, and Echelons to Molotovs...Two of my favorites anyway...Good demo :)
this must have been when they were experementing with their songs...if you hear their demos you'll understand...Winter Fever = Polaris; Meperidine Chapel = Movement from Dischord, and apparantly this one formed itself into Vela, Together we Await the Storm. Personally I love this harder stuff :)
thats cause this show was like 3 or 2 months before they started to record. i think 2 weeks prior to this show they just have gotten signed to hopeless
What was their set at the show? I missed them when I went to see them in CO springs due to bad weather, I showed up as Look What I Did was sound checking.
Just hoping they play Science Of Deduction and Memento Mori, I still have those on my Itunes.
Their live set was something like Crossing the Rubicon; Nocturne; Vela, Together We Await the Storm; Winter Fevers and then some other tune I can't remember.
searh for Winter Fever. this is a demo from the human abstract. This is a realy good song too. For this one, the studio version, for vocal, is definatly better. They need to work that aspect befor going live!
Hmm, it could be the Science of Deduction becuase that's the only song I'm not really familiar with. Man, THA is growing so fast. I want to know if I can be in that video :)
Fucking sick ass evolution of the band man.
