I am so glad that dis video is on youtube cos it shows where this intervention has started n why. Here you can see dat our ppl standing up for themselves and saying NO to MEL BROUGH or whoever he is dat he wanted to buy lands and they told him NO. we the original peoples of the earth must all ban together to expel the white race from Australia, Israel, South Africa and North America, back to their somewhat native Europe. We must all find some way to counter this Neanderthal hybrid threat to our right to exist and not be defiled by their white woman or race.
Theres a non-racist comment for you....White Australians are the most racist people I've ever met.....I'm a white Australian and I do not believe I am....I think Racism is responsible for a lot of terror in the past, Racism will not help forward movements.

This is so true, I have many friends with much knowledge from the Aboriginal community, the Australian govornment should have had consultation with each community, and not treat us all the same as the few who were doing the wrong thing. It was racist and heavy handed, we are backward with our indigenous people and issues. Not every non indigenous person is like this, but shame on the ones who are, it is inhumane, and shame on you!!!!!!!!!!

74 Indgenous communities in the Northern Territory are "prescribed" under the Northern Territory Emergency Response legislation, introduced by stealth and without consultation or review in mid 2007. The Government had to repeal the Racial Discrimination Act in order to implement the legislation - that's how draconian and racist the legislation is.
Shame on government yet again. This is no movie, its our shitty social policies in action. It has to stop. We all thought sorry actually meant sorry. We support the abolition of the intervention.
Byrnzie400 - Sorry to hear you say that. There are many white Australians that are angry about our governments policies and willing to stand up and say so. @theannab well if you have to know heres a lil fact for you i have had nothing but problems with the ones i have met and this was b4 i had a opinion on them i moved back to this country after living abroad from the time i was 12mths to the time i was 14 i lived in nz and had many friends with Maori and islanders. But i come back here too what first day i met one of our delightful indigenous ppl and i get gang bashed!! so i start getting a lil weary of them and that was just the starting point!!!
Finally the struggles of Australia's Aboriginal people will be brought to the world on the big screen. Hopefully now the Australian government will start to listen and change their ways. Thank you for making this film--I will buy the DVD and show it to everyone I know and hold public screenings in my community.
i reckon 1m20s in the guy "what about my ppl are we not human beens" needs a reality check they there trying to bring u idiots out of poverty and stop the bullshit thats coming out of there. this clip makes my blood boil!!! im not against abos but the to gooders that go off half cocked as where i live its shocking abbos have there own court and it does nothing at all to stop the violence from them. i am still yet to see a abbo in this area go to high school and im in a small city
@TheSpasticsheep Hey Spasticsheep - it's people like you that are the reason aboriginal people don't go to high school. Your ignorance is shameful, learn some respect and treat your fellow human beings with dignity!!!
You're shocking, you need to get an education and realise that the spite and negativity that you speak perpetuates all the problems that exist in Australia. It's your kind of attitude that keeps the indigenous/non-indigenous divide strong and that is NOTHING to be proud of!
Lets hope we can get this movie in all the schools and university libraries...... as far as the pedophiles go they are up and down the east coast, the homelands are the safest place for the kids. All of Australia need to learn the Aboriginal culture it can be done through skype etc.
Congratulations Sinem and Damien. I've seen the full-length docu; it should be required viewing for all Australian politicans and available in all Australian schools. Go to the site and buy the video - it will leave you changed forever. Then change Australia, so that Aussies can be proud of it again.
@ The4buttons - working for the government gets you special treatment for living in remote areas - tax breaks, extra pay, rent subsidy and then free trips to "civilised areas". I spent some months working in the centre of Australia, where language barriers are used as an excuse to keep people down. I have also spent some time on Torres Strait. In both of these places the people of the land were welcoming and open. Ask an Aboriginal what is needed, there is much to exchange in relationships.
Liar, @The4buttons, wat U mean is wyte supremacy + da illusion of 'equality', uhh. If wyte man "lives in the middle of the bush" he dun find tat black policemen come ta dictate wat he can + cant do..... or, worse, if he lives in a rural township, his/her municipal + community services R not proved or only very inadequately..... incl. transport, education, health, etc etc. See Babakiueria (3 parts) ..... /watch?v=06DKCdJWK2c
Cleva of U ta remove all yr comments + den go on anotha tangent wid othas, @The4buttons..... betta s'weep yr own doorstep' B4 U attempt ta sweep otha ppls' 'doorsteps', eh
@ddchalmers I removed my comment as obviously the way I worded my comment caused offence - I am seeking info on how to help & ur antagonism is not inspiring or helpful - don't be angry at those who are offering support, & sort ur own crap out B4 throwing daggers at someone who has asked how they can help, I am in full support of indigenious equality, but won't bow down to anger and spiteful comments from u, my doorstep is clean mate, look at ur own
@The4buttons It's about providing a level playing field, services and funding is the least we can do to provide a "Fair Go", 200 years we've just about destroyed a culture and the enviroment, white man had the choice 200 years ago for equality, we took and we murdered, it's time to sort this mess we've created so everybody can be proud to be Australian. It's not about personal guilt it's about being an intelligent sensitive HUMAN BEING!!
@informedcarpet you didn't read my initial message asking what I can do? I meant genuinely that I want to help but that I need specific info on who/what/where do I go. I help my very good friend who happens to be Aboriginal, but that does not address the screaming inequality in many Aboriginal communities, nor does it influence any govt bodies who could provide help. U assumed I am insensitive and unintelligent, and yet out of 4 replies, not one person has offered solid info on how I can help
@The4buttons and Anyone who wants to do something - TODAY is the national day of protest againts the Northern Territory intervention - I am not sure where you are but there are protests in most cities - In Melbourne it is at 5:30 pm outside the State Library of Victoria - hope to see you there!
@The4buttons You could try not to get caught up in "global" views because that is a great recipe for inaction. You dont' have the power to send anybody back to any country, let alone whole populations. You just need to act respectfully where you are right now, on real issues. Just workalongside an Aboriginal who asks for your help. If no one asks, offer help, If no one answers, keep your mouth shut and don't touch the rope until u are told! imo
well? how can we take action? whats the next step? we need to stop making movies (even though the movies are amazing and making people aware) and talking online about it and make a first step, no matter how small, to start doing something as a family, as brothers and sisters, as humans!
just came back from Coen and Aurukun remote aboriginal communities...they are a broken and passive people who just sit around all day outside their houses. Lots of domestic problems where they beat their wives, children etc. and get charged for public nuisance due to alcohol abuse. Aurukun is a dry community (no alcohol allowed) but with lots of problems. Children abuse anything they can get their hands on such as sniffing aerosol sprays and fuel and breaking into buildings etc.
This is true. Aboriginals have had the best life until white Europeans came in. If they are fine how they are why interrupt? I think Australians should learn more about the true aboriginal culture.
Stupid savages! They didn't even know how to make fire.
