I love Beach Boys and all this, but man...ALL THIS SHIT has been said a million times before already. Also, Im sick of all these repackages, greatest hits, box sets, bonus alternate mixes, etc. How many times can greedy bastards repackage the same product? Hendrix's posthumous releases have disgusted me through the years, as has Pearl Jam and Grateful Dead's, with their legion of 'live' cds aimed at die hards. I guess we consumers are to blame for spending our hard earned bread--fuckin dummies

don't know about Pearl jam, but with the dead i think it's all for the Deadheads.

Really, the dead allowed and encouraged their fans to record their Concerts from the start, so that's why we have so unbelivably many great sounding concrrts by them.

10 years ago I dreamt of the day they would locate Smile under the dust and boxes, dig out the old tapes and patchwork together an album for us. There was tell of bootlegged copies of fan made origin circulating the net. It seemed so mysterious and romanticized. Brian even made remarks about the tapes being destroyed. Then Rundgren was trying to get it made. Now all this! Was happy when he did Smile and released it 5 years ago. I guess this is the deluxe package: demos/alt takes. For collectors
