I do have a friend who is Iranian (they are of German extraction) so that he is whiter than me, a pale English rose. However, he works outside and the effect of the sun on his skin makes him look black, while if he lifts his trouser leg, he is white. So I don't think it is as black and white as all that!

I agree with you, all this shows is that ppl just don't take the time to education themselves. Discovery Channel runs shows all the time about egyptians and never says anything of the like about them being black. I think the most I've ever heard is them explaining why the walkways in tombs and the pyramids are so narrow and small and it's because egyptians were between 4 and 5ft tall.
