  • i had a look around here a few years ago,it really is a special place.grid ref. 939512,i know it's on private land but as long as you don't take your dog, leave no trace and all that what's the harm!places like this should be open to the public.helman tor and rocky valley are other favorites of mine.thanks for putting this up.

  • How right you are Merv. All these places have a special feeling and they are normally sited..just so.Pleased to help with it.By the way I have a St Necatan's Glen/ Rocky Valley video on my site.

  • I just cant get enough of this one :) Blessings to You :)

  • Ita was a story long ago, about how the old churches and castles were all *lined up* in order that one could easily find a true route through the area :) I wish I remembered more :)

  • I have had a quick serach through and you are right about that. The old religious sites were aligned to straight tracks and walking ways and also to stars and planets.Christian worshipful places were placed directly inside or over the old religion sancutaries and hillforts ets.

  • Yes! :)

    Love and Light to You

  • Do you know of *song lines*? An old story once told there :) nevermind :)

  • Hi WS thank you.Yes it's a rare chance which we grabbed !These areas are really special and I often leave them with a melancholic yearning because so much knowlege of nature, herbal remedies,arts/crafts and building methods etc has been lost from those days.

  • How special that you got to go there!! I went to Cornwall about five years ago, specially to see Tintagel Castle, amazing place.. beautiful!
