But honestly, I found the best jam songs weren't the singles. "Looking Up" for example. It is definitely my favourite song off the album, and I think it sums up Paramore so well. The cheerfulness, the beat you can throw yourself into, lyrics that empower you... it's all oh so them. That song is my on-demand pick me up.

i think this album was very.... hmmm, bold if i may say so? you can just feel how every member of the band feels, whether its through the lyrics or instrumental work. each song means something different to everyone, and may hit harder to some people. but, i defiantly think this album is them showing their fans how they feel and how they've changed since AWKIF and Riot. i have a new respect towards paramore. and they're are one of my favorite bands.

its actually about how Christians fall back on faith as a means of defense... this song is the physical result of her feelings, turn it off is the emotional response and message to Christians. its basically about how Christians use faith as something to judge people with, how they "should take the splinter out of their own eyes, before they take it out of their brothers."

you skipped TURN IT OFF, THEONLY EXCEPTION, FEELING SORRY and LOOKING UP! I didnt like the only exception at first but listen to hayleys vocals, it 's absolutely beautiful! Feeling sorry is just flat out awesome. Turn It Off has some of the best lyrics on the album and that part in looking up were it just stops for like 4 beats and Hayley's comes in and it's just amazing

After seeing this review, I stand by my statement. :) I agreed with you on MOST things you said in this video :)

my only discrepancy was you said "looking up", "feeling sorry" and "Turn it off" are boring. I think you need to give them a re-listen. Looking up is a Jam and happy song, feeling sorry is also amazingly upbeat and Turn if Off is one of the most powerful lyrically.

I was in this music store in the city today and they were playing Brand New Eyes on the stereo like, REALLY loudly. I mean, the fuckin' thing was like BLASTING out the doors, it was crazy. And I'm not the biggest fan of Paramore, but I must say it's a lot more mature than Riot! was. Definitely not the best they could do, but the lyrics are pretty profound from what you might think they were coming from a band of teenagers.

In "looking up"... they BEASTED when they made you think the song was over. COME ON!!! Paramore knows what they're doing and this album (i would go out on a limb and say) steps on 85% of R!ot.

As for the history behind Ignorance... The band has been going through problems since the canceled some Europe dates in early 2008.... so you fail there. :p

All i Wanted is an INCREDIBLE. Props to taylor for writing the music on that one. and co writing Misguided Ghosts.

I'm not too big on "Only Exception" but its not boring... If you're a fan of Hayley's vocal ability, you definitely just shot down "Turn It Off". Its a wonderful song, one of my favorties its just great. she sings her heart out on the word "AGAIN"... Feeling sorry rides pretty well also...
