@PowerOfDark123 Well i would say that wow targets people bettween 9 and 17, which to be frank is the age range in which it is still healthy to be an online game addict. I realy hope i have somthing better to do with my time by the time im 20. I dont like endgame in any game but WoW does provide a a good varierty of chalanges throughout the levling process, it isnt all about endgame. Also it is possible to solo more in WoW than in many games. So yeh Wo does have some good points.

WoW is the McDonald's of MMORPG's. Successful, has a lot to offer anyone from your grandma to the goth kids.

While it doesn't surpass standards in graphics, gameplay or story, Blizzard knows how to keep it fun.

Enthusiasts and hardcore gamers won't find WoW all that appealing. I played FFXI for a long time, and I liked the difficulty and subtlety of it's visuals. I tried a few other MMORPG's and they were pretty decent too.

ONE MMORPG can't offer it all, and have a non-repetitive endgame.

It'd be even cooler if you weren't restricted to dying your *entire* armor the same color. Even games 10 years old have more sophisticated customizations than that :P

I will say though that I always favored sliding scale customization features that allow you to set the bulk/heaviness to a characters features. At least they got one thing right (though its not revolutionary).

Wow's finished now. with cataclysm coming out, anyone starting the game will quit. I mean. Leveling all the way to 85 and then getting all the 85 gear. by the time you do that. they'll be increasing the level cap by another 5 or 10. its boring now.

WoW didnt break any ground either at their start. They just took the main elements of what makes an MMO and polished the hell out of it until it became what the standard for MMO's are. Love it or hate it, you cant deny 10 million subscribers. WoW's launch though was horrible, the client was buggy and unstable and pushed their main player base back to EQ, until they got the game stable. Aion has already launched twice. So they know how to make it a successful and stable one for NA and Europe.

Aion doesn't break any ground at all actually. Aion uses all the same classic concepts and mechanics that other mmorpg, including WoW use.

Aion has two things attracting people that are different "Skill Chains" and "Graphics".

People are just excited to have something that can play as smooth as WoW but look and feel different.

Saying WoW is dead is as ignorant as it gets. You're implying because Aion "breaks ground" (which it doesn't) that WoW is dead and Aion is taking over. This is false

Just because Aion will likely have a very successful start (its in beta and all ready has) does NOT mean it will directly impact the community volume for any other MMORPG such as Champions online or more commonly mentioned, World of WarCraft.

well look at the stats buddy, it hasnt even come out in the U.S or Europe and it already has 4 million players and WoW has 6 million right now(look it up). 2 million+ players from wow are gonna go to aion and many millions more from the U.S and Europe are also gonna play. So WoW is losing players while Aion is gaining.

I've got a beta key, and I have to say, it's definitely the best MMO I've played as far as customization. I have yet to see two characters that look the same. Not to mention the Stigma system and deciding whether to specialize your character in aerial-based combat, ground-based combat, or a mixture of both. All in all, this game has me hooked and I can't wait for the next beta event in two weeks,.

been playing the beta. The system is very WoW-like, you find stuff that's much more valuable than in shops, earn from quests, etc.

What I like is the inclusion of the personal shop, so you can sell stuff to other players just by sitting around. You don't reach as wide an audience as posting in an auctionhouse like WoW or FFXI, but it feels much more solid.

I saw in a presentation on G4 both races on one account, but I'm not sure if that's just because it was a GM account. My guess is you will be able to create both races on the same account because they want people to know both the Asmodian and Elyonian sides of the story.

I know that WoW limits your choice of characters to a single faction only on PvP servers, to give you a true sense of belonging to only one faction, and to prevent coordination between each side to accomplish things, as well as maintain verbal lockdown so it's nigh impossible for someone to leak info on raids and such without going through an external source.

If this is the case, I just hope I can create characters across multiple servers.

PvPvE means that there are THREE factions, two controlled by players, the third controlled by an advanced AI. The third faction is the larger dragon-looking guys you see coming out of the massive flying ships in some of the other videos, they've got a unique concept in that they can show up during a big raid, and maybe help out the defending faction for some reason, or they could decide to help in the attack, or they could just unleash hell on everyone.

Keeps you on edge, that's for sure.

Dude you gotta admit, WoW graphics are just horrible.... the Gameplay was ok but its getting old....They only have 3 stories in the game! lineage 2 has over 12 or so... WoW has to make more stories/expansions for the game, Add some new classes and races, add alot more weapons, and not just lvl 80 weapons.. new systems, ect. You can ride drakes, gryffins, hypogriffs, flying horses and a range of outhers, but they are mounts, you dont get wings (unless you are a druid in which case you can turn into a bird). And you cant fight while mounted (again there are things druids can do to utilise flying for fighting though).
