Hello vngshake. Congrats...the Sb live is a beautiful sound card as is the C3 mic...ive used both.
Make sure that the +48 volts (phantom power) required for the C3 mic are being switched ON on the Xenix 802. Next make sure you run an analog jack from the OUTPUT of the Xenix 802 out (if its has one) to the BLUE color socket on teh SB CARD....(line-in) NOT the RED.....red means mic.....there will be overload and distortion.....
I bouth the creative sb5.1 sound blaster live but if I plug my microphone Behringer c3 (that its pluged to a Xenix 802 of behringer) it doesnt respond :S and I dont know what to do cause everything its ok with the plugs on the Xenix 802 but still when i plug the mic to my soundcard it doesnt respond please help me if you can
since the Xenix is surely somekinda pre-amp too....then make sure your driver cd has been installed befor e the sb card.....cause SB has a problem of reverting to non-active mode if theere is an OUTPUT-SHORTING...you have to replace the card into another slot on your comp....then check if the LINE slider is not muted in the speaker-icon/mixer panel. (recording) as a last resort try the mic input....RED....on minimum volume.....that should work....:)
Great tribute song!
