It became International Law (after the fall of the Ottoman Empire) and the Arabs agreed to it. In fact King Faisel signed off on it! Don't take my word for it, check it out.

If I used that argument, I would say that Israel still belongs to the Jews because it was promised to them by G-d, who delivered them to the land. The San Remo Agreement is international law and this law was passed with the consent of Arabs and Jews. Regarding your question of Jesus supporting the Jews, he was a pious Jew.
