so when you buy produce you cannot tell if its a GM product, obviously the company would never make that information public if they didnt have to.

my daughter has many food allergys, including milk. so she has soy instead, i started looking into roundup ready soy.. im absolutely shocked by monsantos history with agent orange espeshly.

Actually, Organic food is safe, for now. If it has the USDA certified Organic label is on it, then that means (google usda organic certification gmo) that they cannot use gmo seeds, or irradiated seeds, as well, they cannot irradiate the end product. However, a bill just passed the house of reps and this bill will change the definition of organic (only if it passes the sente and its signed into law). All food will have to be irradiated, and all cattle treated with hormones, and GMO WILL be used.

If it is certified organic. But to really make sure it is safe is to buy from farmers markets. There are lot of really good people out there that are not motivated by money who see no use in harming the food we eat for a quick buck. I read once that itwas a member of an aristocratic Roman family tht thought up the Jesus story. Two hundred or so years later the Vatican/Priests at the time decided to use the story as a marvellous control system. Have you heard of the dead sea scrolls? Manuscripts of the bible were preseved in bottles in caves. They are 1000 years older than any previous manuscripts. He Lies about the colostomy bag study. The paper is Netherwood et al Nature Biotech 2004 22:204-209. And the bacteria from the volunteers already had resistant bacteria before the experiment was conducted - ie the controls showed resistant bacteria. The study also showed 4% of the transgenes made it through the small intestine. But none made it through the intact intestinal tract.

Conclusion "no gene transfer from the bacteria to human cells had occured"

Viral promoters in GM crops are not an added risk in your food because humans have been eating these viral promoters for millions of years. All plants already contain viral promoters. Viruses that have entered the plant and become incorporated into the plants DNA sit in the plant genome waiting for you to eat them. Antibiotic resistance genes in plants are only a hazard if the gene is for resistance to an antibiotic in medical use. There are many discontinued anti-biotics that doctors do not use becasue the resistance genes are widespread. These are the same genes as used in GM plants.

eg It is not a risk to have kanamycin restance genes in your food because your gut is already full of kanamycin resistant bacteria.

Yes it is because organic requires more land and this mean more forests need to get cut down. Organic requires more land because , for example, you need land to grow the pasture, to grow the cows that make the manure that is used to fertilise organic crops.

organic crops yield less so you need more land to produce the same amount of food.
