Easy really. I don't like the ergonomics. I don't like the menusystems. I think they have inferior screens. I think the burst rate is to low and I most of all don't like the IQ at higher ISOs. I don't like the inferior depth of field of the FourThirds sensor. I don't like the AF-system nor the exposure meter. The only thing I DO like is some of the Olympus lenses. They are usually tack sharp wide open even at the edges thanks to the smaller sensor. It's all about preferences :)
The Olympus AF system on the E-3 and E-30 is the fastest on any DSLR available today. The menu is easy to use and it's not an uncomfortable hold. Still, it's horses for courses. I like the feel, you don't. The screen, I kinda agree with, but i like the fact you still get live view even when the camera is focusing, not all other cameras do that. I don't like the size of the sensor either but the progress olympus have made in the E-620 and E-30 is phenomenal and could indicate big things for them.

I would never ever buy an Olympus DSLR. Never. For a weather proof compact, sure. DSLR? No.
