  • love the sarcasm in watsons voice at 2:15 yes well done LOL ;]

  • Anyone find it interesting that Holmes is sitting closer to Mary than Watson is. I wonder why.

  • @xecidex ROFL

  • 3:23 Guiltily rethinks what he just did.

    3:30 Casually starts eating chicken.

  • Basil Rathbone > Jeremy Brett > Benedict Cumberbatch > RDJ

  • @jacksawild Lol, no.

  • @jacksawild You sir are a disgrace to your Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, and Species!

  • 1:03 Oh damm Sherlock found his new mortal enemy. lol

  • "You're a governess. Your student, its a boy of eight. And he's tall for his age. He flicked you with ink today. There are two drops on your ear in fact. India blue is nearly impossible to wash off. Anyway, very impetuous act of that boy, but you're too experienced to react rashly, which is why the lady for whom you work lent you that necklace.Pearls, diamonds, flawless rubies. Hardly the gems of a governess .However, the jewels you are not wearing, tell us rather more. You were engaged."

  • @TheMonsterPaws thank you !! It helps :D

  • Why did she get all pissed she asked and insisted so you can't get pissed when he tells you stuff you don't want to hear.

  • @austen4272 She was insulted by the way he assumed that she left her previous fiance because he wasn't rich enough. He had no way of knowing why they were no longer together.

  • LOLOL I love his accent even though I don't understand shit when he's speed talking

  • i wouldnt unterstand a thing holmes says in cinema... :(

  • His face after her "I intend to" comment! Lol

Holmes is just like "Bitch, not if I can help it".

  • take watson..i intend too -holmes death stare-

  • I always love when this scene comes up, RDJ is perfect as Holmes.

  • Best line is .....'Take Watson'

    "I intend to!"

  • Holmes suffered from a typical Asperger syndrome or a some kind of Autism?

  • @SV2609 No one is really certain, but it's very likely that Holmes was an Aspie.

  • I don't understand what he's mumbling

  • you know where the scene where he eats his food casually, it reminds me of walter enjoying his coffee.

  • gosh I love jude law <3

  • why did holmes look angry at the start of the video?

  • @oOFuSiiOnzX He is bored with the trivial nature of ordinary people, his only interrest is his work and his cases. That is why he spends most of his time locked away in his appartment, when he is not working that is...

  • @Mikkelfdf ahh right thanks :)

  • First Video a saw with so many views and no dislikes.

  • @trixxgordon Thank you. ;-)

  • i still laugh at how RDJ eats that piece of meat with a slightly amused facial expression as if nothing happened.

  • Personally I think Mary Morstan was smarter than a woman who would have thrown her wine at him. She would have understood why he came to his conclusion. But I guess it's more entertaining and makes her acceptance of his help later in the movie more poignant... Mary in "A Study in Scarlet" was intelligent and composed, as was this one in every other way. She's a cool character and I hope she's in the next movie :)

  • Mary = MILF

  • This totally reminds of the Episode of House after Kutner killed himself, and Foreman, Thirteen, House, and Kutner's parents are talking about him, and House discusses Kutner and doesn't stop until Kutner's parents and Thirteen/Foreman tell him to shut up and leave. Just the rambling part and not stopping though ^^. Love Sherlock Holmes :D.

  • This movie has to be an all time favorite!!! Love mr Holmes!!

  • She was with. A moor, and married to one...her last name has moor in it also....

  • I think he said the ruby is from a moor

  • I always feel bad for holmes when it shows him eating alone, it makes me wanna eat with him and cheer him up :D

  • Wine on my face....ahhhh, brings back memories.

  • love this scene - i can hear it fine - his accent is epic lol x and sexy

  • can someone tell me the name of this music please let me know because I really love it and can not find

  • You have to admit, Holmes really deserved that wine in the face. The whole "left her poor fiance for a better off doctor" was entirely uncalled for, as there is no possible way he could have known why she was no longer engaged. Holmes broke one of his own maxims: Never assume.

  • im from the uk and even i found it hard to follow what he was saying

  • @90mv That's strictly a Robert Downey Jr. thing.

  • damn accents makes it hard to understand what's being said

  • @Rayneedeyz I so agree XD

  • @Rayneedeyz It's called English!

  • @chilliypepper

Obviously, but as an American, whose used to hearing American accents, it's a bit trying to comprehend what someone with a different accent is saying

  • @Rayneedeyz ...Really? Geez...

  • Does anyone have any idea what he's eating?

  • @falconwind00 From the color, I would assume a steak, probably sirloin, but the size is huge, so it might be other kind of steak. Nevertheless, it is a type of beef.

  • Okay, I did not really understand what they said. WHy was the woman angry?

  • @GreenBeangood holmes said that the woman perhaps leave her fiancee because she looks for a better prospects, a doctor maybe.

  • @GreenBeangood He basically called her a golddigger.

  • is this blu-ray?

  • Holmes: Take Watson.

    Mary: I intend to.

    Holmes: *GLARE*

    Lol.

  • i dislike Mary. for reasons which cannot be explained, she just grates on me :L

  • hmm.. what's he eating? :) doesn't look like steak to me

  • God I hate Mary-she's getting in the way!

  • this video could use subtitles.

  • to be fair, he's just done what she asked. she shoudn't have over-reacted!

  • this is why you dont get a woman mad

  • Lol I thought it was great after she said "I intend to" they way Sherlock's smile fell and then became incredibly forced; so funny!

  • Just to make sure, none of the books mentions he's gay right?

  • @117ty Well he has an aversion to women that borders on paranoia and a close fealty to watson so many people can assume he has a homosexual identity, but the books describe him as being completely asexual. He is a walking mind in the books, however he seems to have much more emotion and humanity in the films. I would look at Holmes as being someone who loves in a very childlike way, without sexual passion and completely selfishly possessive ( to a point)

  • @117ty Sherlock Holmes is never even hinted at at being gay. In 19th Century England men used to literally walk arm-in-arm in public and no one would bat an eyelash at it. Reading those books and looking at this relationship with 21st Century eyes, one could possibly think that Holmes must be gay, since he's portrayed as a misogynist and is so close to Watson. But Watson is married in the books and Holmes is rather a narcissist & Jeremy Brett believed came from a cold and loveless childhood.

  • The way women dressed, in the era in which this movie takes place. OMG sexy!!.. Shes indescribably Beautiful

  • i havea friend like this!...... its creepy and cool but sometimes they go just a bit too far!... :(

  • he talks so fast i can't hear anything but gibberish

  • Mary looks a little bit like Taylor Swift. When she appeared in the movie, I was like Mary is Taylor Swift's British sister.

  • @JBosiris I'm guessing you mean Watson, not this one, but John from the BBC show Sherlock? I love Martin Freeman - I'm going to start reading LotR so that I can see him as Bilbo! Sad but true...-.-

  • @TheBurbster Bilbo's barely in Lord of the Rings. Just read The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings is a pretentious load of ass anyway.

  • there was a bit of Jeremy Brett in his observation and behaviours

  • that woman .... she asks holmes to say what he can see and at the end HE becomes the wine over his face *sigh*

maan i dont like this woman ... ^^

  • The mistake Holmes makes at the very end is actually very similar to his mistake in "The Yellow Face". His cynical attitude towards women leads him to a rather erroneous conclusion both times. In "The Yellow Face", he assumes blackmail on a lady's part, when it's really a more innocent answer to the mystery. Her, he assumes Mary dumped her previous boyfriend...when the truth is he died.

  • @RushLimborg

Oh, and wait 'til you found out how her husband died. If anyone has read the books, it's quite mischievous; suspicious too, I might add.

  • @RushLimborg well in the book - he's a bit of a prat towards women, and in this movie - he loves irene adlers character. which doesn't fit his profile really at all. but it would explain his mistake.

  • @elenore88 ps. and I mean doesn't fit his character in terms of how good he is. to be that smart you have to be wise. and to be that wise - you just wouldn't be that much of a sucker.

  • Boy, he's good...

  • well.... she asked.

  • @xxchibirockstarxx actually the lady insisted.

  • @xxchibirockstarxx In fact she insisted.

  • @xxchibirockstarxx She insisted
