  • thumbs up if you're older than this song

  • Its haunting how this album, especially this song hints alot to death and suicide and thats what most people think he did seen as he was full dressed in the river when they found him, its like this album was his cry for help, rest in peace Jeff <3

  • When i'm by myself... I pretend to be Jeff Buckley.

  • Wow

  • Just how does anyone get to be so good, so young. This song sounds like a lifetime of experience. The only other artist I get this feeling from is Nick Drake, although they are completely different in the musical spectrum, they share a certain honest and personal connection to the listener that defies any musical boundaries and makes you feel that the songs are actually about your own life.

  • @theporca he was older then he looked, and had a very good musical education, as well as being born with the same gift as his Dad Tim Buckley. he wanted to play guitar and not sing, then gave it up to act, but songs started coming to him in his late 20's early 30's. Also his Mum was a professional piano player. The biggest shame is he would have got so much better!

  • Why God, Why?...

  • BREATH TAKING!!!

  • cette chanson est comme le doux chant d'un ange a mes oreilles, je ne peux pas m'en passer! hallelujah pour jeff buckley et grace a lui!

  • I hate being young, all the great artists passed away before i even discovered them.

  • I was travelling in Scotland when I heard Jeff died. I was in Germany when Biggie bought it. 97 what a year...RIP you magnificent bastards.

  • this song, so god damn beautiful... but its so eerie the way that the lyrics in a way "forsaw" his death...

  • Nowadays the public sees JB and knows it stands for Justin beiber .. but man, there's not a day that goes by when I think " What if people today saw JB as Jeff Buckley and not Justin Beiber.."

Wish he was still alive .

  • @88JungleMan88 where is all the talent gone ? jeff buckley was fuckin brilliant :)

  • What a true gift he gave us all.

  • jim morrison et bob dylan dans un seul corps, ça donne jeff buckley!

  • God, he had great genes. What a loss. Can't wait for the movies.

  • 4:50 to 5:00 kills me

  • He knew what he was doing when he put cats in his video...

  • Jeff Buckley <3

  • while this is not my favourite song ever, I must say that Jeff Buckley does best vocal performance I have ever heard here

  • *giggles* my name is grace!! I love this song.

  • thumbs up if you are younger then this song...

  • Don't know why I was listening to covers! it's ALL here, each tiny piece that lifts me, such splendour, need no more, how I miss you Jeff!! thank god for youtube!! and thanks for the upload, really!!!

  • Been listening to covers of this song, oh my god..... have mercy, it's great to be back!!!!

  • hes still alive

  • i like to pretend he is say "natalie" at 2:22 ...

    thats my name <3

  • @natalieannsherman No wai

  • la magia sta nelle note di questa canzone e nelle sue parole

  • The way he holds that final note... Shit it's awesome. So powerful, brings a tear to my eye.

  • beAUtiful

  • this song is amazing i have to study it for GCSE music and i love it

  • Impeccable. Driving down a long stretch of road when that last verse kicks in, no one around, except you and Jeff, and his magnificent delivery. Oh man. Just how unreal is this song? Man.

  • justin bieber should listen to this and feel really ashamed.

  • un capolavoro!!!!!!!

  • Pretty

  • If you love this song you should definitely check out his criminally overlooked posthumous release Sketches for My Sweetheart the Drunk. Pure genius and such God-given talent. It is a shame that the world lost him before he really even caught fire. Happy Birthday Jeff! RIP

  • Happy birthday Jeff! We love you!

  • i hate that i was a little too young to be into jeff's music when he was alive, but i get the feeling that doesn't matter. he even says in this song i am not afraid to go and has been quoted that he doesn't feel the need to be remembered as long as the music is...and jeff brother, it will be...dont you worry

  • Its weird. The music I go for, the lead singer isn't fucking great. Jeff B. being the exception. I so wish he was still making music.

  • This music video perfectly captures Jeff's persona: mysterious, profound, and thoughtful. I love you, Jeff! Your music has affected me in so many ways.

  • Am so glad a friend introduced him to me! He is just so gorgeous! (refering to the music mostly) The guitar...The voice and the song writing! Beautiful!!!!

  • I really fucking love this song!!!

  • he was gourgous!! great song!

  • Thanks Jeff... You gave us magical descriptive music and now your gone from us.... If there is a God i bet you're up there singing for him

  • es grandioso como tuvo tanta influencia en muchos artistas hoy en dia !!

todo un maestro de la musica!!

  • I wanna hear him singing "Whola a lot of love " by Led Zepp

  • Feel the intensity from every word he spoke.. Just don't see that nowadays.. Wish i could've seen him live. Jeff definately was one of the greatest musicians. :)

  • love this song. and he's so hot

  • just beautiful!!

  • He was so handsome... Another angel taken back to heaven way too early <3

  • "Jeff Buckley was a pure drop in an ocean of noise." Bono

  • I remember buying the Grace CD when Jeff was alive :-) today its still as fresh as that first magical time I listened to it..... R.I.P. Jeff

  • @ASingleFeatheR There is So Real "I couldn't awake from nightmare that sucked me in, and pulled me under" Dream Brother "Asleep in the sand with the ocean washing over" Grace "it's my time coming (...) we both might go tomorrow (...) My time has come (...) etc." Not from grace: Nightmares by the sea basically whole song Opened Once: third verse. Dammit Jeff...!!!
  • to use Jeff buckleys name. and faggot biebers name in the same sentence is blasphemy damnit!!!

  • @hammer2026 please stop writing such comments, because of people like you almost all music videos get littered with such comments and that takes a lot out of the pleasure the videos would usually bring to people, so please stop writing such comments ok?

  • @hammer2026 So why'd you just do it, faggot?

  • Blisfully ignorant

  • What a brilliant man. Oh what I would have given to see this live...

  • 3 people should've drowned instead of Mr. Buckley

  • @SaypheZonE make it 6. --' idiots! I cannot imagine my life without Jeff Buckley and they dare 'dislike' this. The world is fucked up.

  • That's still mean. You shouldn't wish death upon anyone. I am not religious but believe firmly in karma.

  • @SaypheZonE What 3 ?

  • @MrFerrango lol the dislikes used to be 3 haha

  • My head vibrates so much everytime i sing this, takes true passion.

  • this song creeps me

  • 2 people need to get there lives examined!!

  • Masterpiece....this song gives me some sort of sadness and at the same time...clarity....

  • JB belongs to Jeff Buckley, and not to a 16-year old kid!!

  • @LegitimatexScopez Justin Bieber and Jeff Buckley sound so different even though they have the same initials.

  • @Gebapbara thanks captain obvious.

  • Music gcse just got interesting for me -3

  • @Pruzar14 too true

  • The first time I heard this I cried, same story as everyone else. I am asking all people who know me to play this song at my funeral when I kill myself. I don't want to kill myself now, but after I've done something to make the world remember me for. Nothing bad; just a song, or some activism. But I want to make an impression.

    R.I.P.

    Jeff Buckley

  • 1 dislike? wow you sad person, how dare you :'(

  • @owenhunt sorry??

  • @rizzaexquizyth I was replying to someone who made mention of the recent inclusion of Jeff Buckley music into the British High School (GCSE) qualification for Music.

  • One of the most beautiful songs that I have ever heard. Great expression .. Great vocal work.. Just great.

but really, the music is cool XD

  • Comment removed

  • I agree PurpleFunion..i cry most often while listening to Jeff, its hard to believe that this album came out 16 years ago... i mustve listen to Grace a thousand times over. The album simply never gets old.

  • I cried when i researched him and found out he died. His music creates an emotion i can't quite put a name to and it is something i haven't found in any other artist. Why'd you have to go, Jeff Buckley? dammit...

  • <3<3

  • Gets a bit repetitive after a while... Pretty good though

  • he and his band were so harmonious!!

  • he was such an astounding creature of mystic vocals. gives new meaning to the word unforgettable

  • love Jeff 16 years ago today this awesome CD was released Love Jeff forever X

  • the first time i heard jeff buckley is 2008 and now i never stop dreaming of having his voice..........putting myself into his shoes as if im buckley everytime i have a gig....good God you gave us buckley but too bad you left us scumbags in the music world......i wish i wake up tommorow having his voice!!!!God hear me out!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @maskedpenis Good luck with that mate,

  • This might be the best song ever recorded. The vocals, the chordprogression, the arrangements, the lyrics, the build up, the passion.

  • GREATEST VOCALS EVER, INTRIGUING CHORD PROGRESSIONS. THIS IS FANTASTIC.. just saying

  • @MickyG4444 BLASPHEMY!

  • worship is such a small word....

  • Pre-MUSE

  • it's like he's taking me to a totally different world

  • i remember listen to this when i was 4 in the car going on long trips

  • Wow I had never listened to anything past "Hallelujah", I'm really glad I did, amazing.

  • Jeff Buckley trivia question? how many times did Jeff predict the manner of his own death on Grace?

  • @ASingleFeatheR too many times for it not to be creepy :P

  • @003ralf003caster Yeah seems a bit strange. But we all love a conspiracy theory. Just like Jim Morrison is still alive!!!

  • @ASingleFeatheR omg, this so much

  • @ASingleFeatheR way to many,like 6 or 8

  • Its impossible for me to have a favorite jeff song. there all so good. but i must say this is probably one of the most amazing songs i have ever heard!!!!! it could not have been done better

  • ask Jeff that and he'd disagree. Nothing is ever perfect, but this is close.

  • this is the best ending to any song ever written, the tempo build, the sharp ending, and the crazy vocal flutter at the very end. Amazing

  • Agreed.

  • @gregcarson I could not agree more with you!! the tempo and he´s solo voice , are just great!!! Jeff i´ve got "saudade" of you....

    Pedro from Portugal

  • @gregcarson Oh yes! It's a stunning piece of work I especially like the brief double tracked vocal one sweet the other out of control low in the mix, like someone "walking over your grave". As compositions go it's perfect with no excess flab and I bet he barely registered it He just let it all out. Some say what would he have done had he lived but I'm eternally grateful for what we got! He was a one off no wonder Jimmy Page looked up to him! You're right it's a masterclass in taste not waste!

  • @gregcarson I was going to write about how orgasmic his voice is in this song, with emphasis on the crescendo. But I wont. No need to repeat what you've already said.

  • did Jeff Buckley write this?

  • him & Gary Lucas.

  • thanks. its a great song.

  • One of a few "angels" we had in this planet.

His existence only made us feel better in this planet.........his music, his voice, his talent, his charisma.....he had it all!!

My favorite solo artist ever. He was the best.
