I saw in one of your videos of the types of questions you should ask on what part of Costa Rica you should move to. If I get a comprehensive list do you think you could give him an idea of where to start looking?
He's thinking he might want to buy a condo in Playa de Jaco, but I told him he should look around.

Reality TV star, Fiji house, etc.... but your advice about Costa Rica is right on the money. You're personable, informed and entertaining. You discuss ALL sides of life in CR. You tell it like it is and don't pull any punches. In all my years of studying CR, I've never come across such HONEST, unbiased information about CR, presented in such an entertaining and engaging way. Kudos!
when i was in costa rica there were people (near coco beach) who would stop your car on the road just to show you brocheurs on buying homes...im guessing this is not a good way for information?.....PS.. do you have any idea how much it costs (in US dollars) to find a decent place near or on the beach near tamarindo or coco beach?
Yeah thats what you really want to do... go down to Costa Rica and work at bar...........I am not an expert but the biggest appeal of third world countries is cheap labor, so even if you work at the most happening place I think you are going to struggle, you can bulshit your way into not working by teaching surfing or yoga but you got to keep in mind, every day there is someone just like you doing that......not everybody can be Jhonny gringo, so your best bet is offer real work, real skills

@punkinhat NOt yet,,it's an on-going thing. The primary owner G. Conti has been actively trying to sell Palo Verde for quite awhile now and since it's CLOSED and not making money, he's motivated. But he still doesn't tell me anything... so we'll see. Thanx for the comments, appreciate it.
How comfortably could a single guy with a monthly pension of around $2300 live in Costa Rica? Also...is not speaking Spanish going to pose a huge problem? Thanks!
@SUCKMEISTER005 Well, put it this way, if I had $2300 a month, I would live like a KING here. Obviously it's better to know Spanish, mine sucks, most frustrating thing EVER in my life...just is difficult for me. Don't really need it, but sometimes you might need help at the bank, but even then there's usually someone that knows english. Could be a obstacle at times but not as bad as you may think.
hey mike, we are 3 families planing a weeks trip to costa rica, arenal and manuel antonio.... our concern is since it is the rainy season is it going to be a hindrance to visit jungles, ziplining, tabacon hot springs and so on at that time....need advice
@shanazrani First, don't let the rain stop anything you're doing......somethings, like if ur at the beach, it can be a bother, but it doesn't usually rain all day at the beach either....and others, it doesn't matter- especially adventure 'tours'..... Costa Rica is funny...the weather changes every 5 minutes,,,so it really just depends.......
