@firecat700ts Yes i can explain this. That Apex is a monster and it was a warm day, the Thundercat has about 6000 miles on it, but it wouldnt have mattered. The guy who owns that apex is a wizard with settin up sleds and it shows. I am a cat man myself, but your gonna have to own up and deal with it pal, the video is real.

I have a 1997 ZRT600 that is mildly trail ported with VF-3's and a D+D clutch kit, with Jaws pipes, D+D Powerbreather, and gearing is dropped 1 tooth. 244 pics in a 1.25 Ripsaw. I ride with a 2006 Apex GT owner and and a piped 04 RX-1 and they ain't in the same zip code! I annihilate them both on the trail, and on the lake. At any distance. those yamahas are reliable BOAT ANCHORS that can't get out of their own way without a turbo! Go sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here! LOL!

nice vid, it is a t cat but what is track size and studding for both sleds the T cat went sideways almost off the hop and then he couldnt seem to hold it straight? the apex is a lighter sled so if it gets up on you off the hop and you cant get traction you arent gonna catch it in this case.

I went to a snowmobile event,it was a fundraiser for a handicap little girl.It cost a few bucks eot enter,they fed us on the trail,put gas in at the halfway point.I have a couple f8's a formulla 3 skidoo and some older sleds.Everything was out that day,all ages,lots of prizes.i enjoyed the event no matter what anyone road.Anyway if ya wanna see those machines race,there is a lot more to it than squeezing that on switch.

That thundercat needs another driver, i own a 2000 t cat 1000 and it is the fastest sled i have ever been on. Both sleds way about the same in weight, but that guy riding it sucks at launching. It could also be that it losing traction. I have a 1.75 lug track with 2 inch studs and even on hard pack i slide all over.

lame race. my 2001 ZRT600 w/ black magic pipes and clutch kit runs neck and neck with a RX-1 every race. i dont beleive a stock apex would beat any stock T-Cat

ACTUALLY the GREEN T-Cat is exclusivly a 1999. the 2000 (which i have) is black. all of them. and i agree that a stock apex (145hp) should not beat a stock t-cat (172hp) i have never raced an apex but have raced a rx1 and beat it everytime. I also have the 1998 model which is faster but its not that noticable unless u line them up and the 2000 handles much better.

@solutions10124 yes, the fastest tcat ever built was the 1998 Tcat 1000. the years after the changed the gearing cuz too many people got hurt.

if that tcat had a fresh motor, it would have ate that apex and shit out a mach z.

They didn;t change the gearing from 98 to 99, they changed the hole chassy. The 98 chassy was just a faster chassy, Also the 99 had breather problems.

Im pretty sure its a 2000. The only reason that apex killed him so bad is because that thundercat has about 5000 miles on it, that apex has a LOT of mods. But it was like 45 that day and the two strokes werent runnin very well at all, so its hard to really compare i guess, but the results speak for themselves.
