I really think that rear wheel drive can be an advantage on some rally's and stages, the can take the cornes different, and sometimes faster, and on very twisty roads they can drift trough very easy compared to all wheel drive cars.
and why would you think drifting is good? drifting is the lack of grip, lack of grip means you are not accelerating, and if you're not accelerating, you are slowing down.
advantage of AWD handbrake turns is that the front wheels can pull the car in the right direction while the rear wheels are sliding to rotate the car. you couldnt do that with RWD.
i reckon mark higgins is right aboutu bringing back rear wheen drive
