But bush said it was over WMD and ties to 9/11 neither which was true. He didn't say we were going to war because of the attacks on the Kurds. Most likely he couldn't because it was all part of a Kurdish armed rebellion and part of the Iraq-Iran war which we supported Iraq in.

That information was from Hans Blix's address to the U.N. one week before the invasion. Also, we found an Al-Qaida training camp in Baghdad.
