  • "We had a conversation with Dr. White and asked him to stop the hazing in the band."

That's like saying "We told the police to stop all the crimes"...unfortunately you can't stop people from doing what they want to do. Drumline is NOT about FAMU btw. lol #Rattler

  • at this point the public is going to blame the university administration the band director. although both are to blame for lack of involvement in handling the matter, it comes down to those who haze. they chose to commit violence and those being hazed couldve said no, but the band mentality of belonging is complicated. everyone is going to get blamed but appropriate blame should be placed on the hazers.

  • It's really deep. This is suppose to be "Higher" education. Everyone keeps speaking about 'culture' being the cause, and forget that 'culture' is defined by people. This is just pitiful. Makes one wonder what the civil rights era was all about and the very name, Historical Black Colleges and ...seems as if this is a misnomer. Maybe, the name should be changed to Protect the Black Colleges and University Bands, by Any Means Necessary... to keep the money and people coming back for more!!!

  • Lol Drumline was NOT about FAMU
